Hands-Free Collection Cups, 21mm and 24mm Included

I really wanted to love this pump. It's more gentle than my other pump and the cups are comfortable. Like others, I take issue with the pump itself- no screen to display how long I've been pumping or what level I'm on. The flanges fog up so I can't see the nipple placement or whether milk is still coming out. The markings on the side of the cups are hard to see for measurement purposes so I now empty into a measuring cup. My biggest gripe is that there is no cover. Once done, I would like to store these in a fridge without having to wash and sanitize. However, milk always leaks out and makes a mess in the zip lock put them in. Why no cover??

KNOW your breast shield size before you buy because you will not be able to get as many options for this Hands Free version as the other Medela Products and will waste your Money and possibly hurt your Pump schedule when returning to work like I did when I couldnt get the SIze I needed. Description STATES this breast shield can be purchased (doesnt come with) size 27mm. I need this but you can NOT buy it from medela website and Customer Service doesnt answer (800-435-8316). You can buy the 27 mm Breast shield for any other Medela Products but for THIS Hands Free Collection Cups it has to be a specific style.

I bought this as soon as my son was discharged from hospital. I knew I couldn’t be stuck to a wall with a newborn and a toddler. I love that there are only three parts to clean and they are easy to disassemble and assemble. My only concern is that I noticed the tubing seems to have gotten milk or water in it and im not sure how to clean it.

I want to love these collection cups, they do work well. HOWEVER- I ordered mine off Amazon, the 21mm flange sized insert arrived cracked, so it leaks terribly. The 24mm is too big but I’ve been making do, because I’m not willing to spend another $90 for a new set and I have been unable to get in touch with a single customer service rep. It’s been 13 days since I placed my order.

Love these for work and when I'm getting ready in the morning. If I had one critique it would be that they're very bulky and stick out. If they could be longer from top to bottom and not sticking out so much, they'd feel more comfortable.

If you bought the original hands free collection pump that came with the old collection cups there 1.0 version you will be highly disappointed in these as extra collection cups I have consistently gotten 2 ounces less when I use these versus my original cups. Also these cups are way harder to disassemble and when you pour your milk out it comes way slower and stops and you have to tilt it back and pour again. Very disappointed in the upgrade to these cups. MEDELA BRING BACK THR ORIGINAL HANDS FREE COLLECTION CUPS. I spent $90 on plastic cups and they are no where near as good as the original ones.

I bought these to be a spare to the freestyle. The originals are much better. They are bigger which is great for my larger breast, collect more, are wayyy easier to clean and use. I have never leaked with the originals but these are awful to use. the clasp on the bottom is so hard to get together and apart and leaks all the time. i’ve lose 2 oz of milk and now i don’t use them. i called customer service already to see if i could buy the originals but they aren’t for sale. big bummer

I just started my breast feeding journey in Aug when our first was born and I looked at so many on the go hands free pumps (elvie, Willow, mom cozy, etc). I had already purchased a medela freestyle and pump in style and didn’t realize the difficulty to pump on the go with normal flanges. I saw that Medela came out with these portable options and instantly knew I had to get them! These are so comfortable and convenient.

TLDR; save the $100, disappointing performance.

I was super excited to try these out. My supply had dropped with the regular set up (flanges, pumping bra), so I thought I'd try something new. I thought that with these fitting inside your bra, that it might provide extra suction or a better fit to help me up my supply, as I usually come up short for what my baby needs.

Maybe these work better with smaller breasts, but for my D/DD's, these are actually providing less suction and way looser feeling than expected. (And yes, I'm using the correct size.) I'm getting half as much milk as I was previously, which has been disappointing to say the least. I will agree that they are light weight and fairly comfortable, but I also hate how you can't see the position your nipple is in. As someone else said, I constantly have to use my phone flashlight to check.

Overall, it's a shame how this industry preys on women and makes them feel inadequate when trying to feed their baby. There's always some product, pump, body wrap, vitamin, and/or supplement being touted as the next best thing, or a way to increase your supply. And none of those things are inexpensive. Everyone told me to try a wearable, I regret the purchase. I've decided to just be happy with what I'm producing and fill the rest in with formula.

I absolutely hate these cups! I so badly wished I would love them but nothing seems to work, I have tried them with the pump in style advanced wall pump and the freestyle flex and cant seem to ever get a good output like I do with flanges and bottles and yes I am properly using them and flange size is correct as I mentioned I do use the flange and cups so I know its not that! Annnnnd the additional tubes that are needed for these are so inconvenient they bend so easy at the ends and you dont even notice you aren't properly pumping which defeats a hands free purpose having to check it every 5mins, as if that was not enough it really is not “wash only 3 parts” the O-rings always end up with water/moisture underneath and I am not willing to risk mold so its an additional washing part. Overall so disappointed I so badly wish I could get my money back to invest it elsewhere these cups are so not worth it!
