Can’t use suction items
Nothing can suction to this. I bought a suction toy and a suction bowl: waste of money. I’ve tried adding water to the suction cups and even running under hot water to soften the plastic. This tray is a bit uneven so that might be why, but why charge so much for a semi-functional product?

For the record, our toy/bowl suction to every other smooth surface. This tray’s surface isn’t smooth.

Amazing except the tray - major design flaw!
We love our Tripp Trapp and would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for a HUGE design flaw. The tray is a pain to clean and the underside of the tray has 100+ tiny nooks and crannies that get food stuck in them because my child grabs the sides of the tray (don’t they all?!). How did this get overlooked in the design? The tray is now growing pink mold in these insane tiny holes that are impossible to clean (and I am a very thorough cleaner after each feed). The folks at Stokke should be proud of this product, but for a team who prides on design this is a huge flaw in my opinion and really deserves a major change.

Great Chair, Frustrating Tray Design
I love the Stokke Tripp Trapp® high chair, but I’m really disappointed with the design of the tray. The honeycomb structure underneath is a nightmare for cleaning. Tiny fingers easily place food and messes into the little grooves, and it’s almost impossible to get everything out. Living in Canada, I’ve also noticed that due to the hard water, orange marks are starting to form in the honeycomb circles, making it look even messier.

While the top of the tray is easy to clean and clicks on and off smoothly, I wish the underside were as simple and flat for easier maintenance. It would be a huge improvement if the tray was compatible with silicone suction trays and plates too.

The rest of the high chair is great, but this tray design really needs rethinking!

So far, I love it!
I just bought this for my first baby but have not gone through months of use yet. However, on first look, I love it! The first thing I checked was the ability for a suction plate to be used as I had read multiple reviews that the texture made suction impossible. I am happy to report that the plates we have suction perfectly, I was even able to partially lift the entire chair holding onto the plate. I’m not sure if it was a re-design or we just have plates that suction well. Other than that, the tray is very easy to take off, and I haven’t had a problem cleaning it, water was able to air dry after a couple hours.

Extremely Difficult to Clean & Expensive
While the tray wraps around nicely on the sides for baby to eat, the open bottom of the tray with many holes makes it a nightmare to clean. Food is always stuck in the holes and it's a hard to wash out. The tray is also impossible to dry. The tray is also very expensive and should be included with the purchase of the high chair.

Fine until the lever broke
I have had the Tripp trapp for about 1 year, we use the tray sometimes and sometimes push up to the table. The tray clip/lock mechanism underneath broke and now it won’t work. We didn’t overuse it or anything. For the price, I’d expect more than 1 year. I can’t find info on a warranty.

high chair tray
Well, I just broke the tray on the high chair trying to get it off and clean it. It is VERY difficult to remove to clean. Can you not make it easier to remove?? Now it doesn't stay on very well and I am afraid it will come off and the food spill everywhere. So I need to buy another one.

No suction for toys
This item doesn’t allow for suction toys. They will not maintain strong enough suction to stay on the tray.

Not happy
I was super excited to get this high chair and all the accessories. I could live with the straps being a difficult to adjust, a little extra work to clean/wipe down, but the tray is absolutely ridiculous to get off. I should be able to remove it with one hand, because majority of the time I have the baby in my other arm. I was trying to hurry to remove the tray this evening and couldn't get it off. I eventually gave up. Absolute disappointment. Also like other reviews state, you can't suction down bowls/plates on the tray.

Perfect!
Wonderful tray for the Tripp Trapp. Easy to clean, sturdy, nothing to break, dishwasher safe.
