Description
The Chair made its debut in 1972 and has been going strong ever since (Stokke calls it a “chair for life” for a reason). Devotees love the iconic Scandinavian design that’s highly functional and looks great with your grown-up decor.
This versatile chair brings your baby right up to the table to join the family meal. The adjustable design has both depth-and height-adjustable seat and footplates for ergonomic seating position at any age. The footplate effectively brings the floor up to your child, allowing for greater balance, comfort and freedom of movement.
Norwegian manufacturer Stokke makes the chairs from high-quality, solid European beech or oak wood with an attention to craftsmanship. The Tripp Trapp is a sturdy piece of furniture (it holds up to 300 lbs) that would be very hard for a child to tip, even for toddlers who are climbing in and out of the chair on their own.
This chair comes with a Baby Set to provide support and stability starting around six months. When baby is learning to sit, the Tripp Trapp Baby Set gives little ones comfortable side and back support. It also provides freedom of movement and helps teach them the important skill of sitting. When they can confidently climb in and out of their chair on their own, you can remove the Baby Set. This latest version has an updated safe and intuitive harness buckle, two click-in points and a quick, one-click release button. You can completely remove the harness for easier cleaning (it’s machine wash safe) and attach it back in about 30 seconds.
To use the Tripp Trapp from birth, you can add a Newborn Set (sold separately). No tray is needed if you’re pulling this chair up to your dining table. A cozy cushion is also available.

Great chair for many years...

Beautifully Designed Chair
The Stokke Tripp Trapp has been one of the best long-term baby purchases we’ve made. While it is definitely more expensive than many high chairs, the combination of comfort, craftsmanship, durability, and ergonomic design makes the value feel justified over time.

Excellent choice for stability, style, function.
A Grandma speaking here. I grew up on 3” thick Sears, JC Penney’s, and Montgomery Wards catalog’s added to a chair during the holidays. Great long term furniture piece that looks great!
I bought this as a gift for my new grandson, and it is exceeded my expectations! The Quality of all pieces is exceptional and it really looks like high end furniture that enhances the dining room decor versus stands out as baby item. Each piece works well with the base, and the system adapts easily. My grandson is comfortable and this allows him to sit at the table with the rest of the family - while providing easy access to him safely.

We purchased back in , well it’s been months. Baby now 9 months old , it sits and collects dusts ! Always been very difficult to get baby into the seated position with tray …. The main reason we purchased it for ! There’s little space to comfortably wedge her in ….. and yes we have watched videos and contacted company . Seems to be our fault ?!?!? We talked with friends with same chair , one says it takes two to three people to get baby into. And by that time baby upset. I won’t give this away to anyone , I’d feel bad for the trouble I had knowingly caused . No Go , it’s terrible . Joann

Incredible purchase that grows with your child
We absolutely love our Tripp Trapp. My Three year old has used this chair since he first could sit up and started eating at the table. This chair had my child involved in the family dinner time at the table with us from the very beginning instead of off to the side eating on his own tray. It makes a difference in how we all interact at the table and we love how the chair grows as he does! It is nice that sometimes even the grownups are able to sit in the chair when needed. We had one for our son and have since bought another for another child
