Description
The Chair made its debut in 1972 and has been going strong ever since (Stokke calls it a “chair for life” for a reason). Devotees love the iconic Scandinavian design that’s highly functional and looks great with your grown-up decor.
This versatile chair brings your baby right up to the table to join the family meal. The adjustable design has both depth-and height-adjustable seat and footplates for ergonomic seating position at any age. The footplate effectively brings the floor up to your child, allowing for greater balance, comfort and freedom of movement.
Norwegian manufacturer Stokke makes the chairs from high-quality, solid European beech or oak wood with an attention to craftsmanship. The Tripp Trapp is a sturdy piece of furniture (it holds up to 300 lbs) that would be very hard for a child to tip, even for toddlers who are climbing in and out of the chair on their own.
This chair comes with a Baby Set to provide support and stability starting around six months. When baby is learning to sit, the Tripp Trapp Baby Set gives little ones comfortable side and back support. It also provides freedom of movement and helps teach them the important skill of sitting. When they can confidently climb in and out of their chair on their own, you can remove the Baby Set. This latest version has an updated safe and intuitive harness buckle, two click-in points and a quick, one-click release button. You can completely remove the harness for easier cleaning (it’s machine wash safe) and attach it back in about 30 seconds.
To use the Tripp Trapp from birth, you can add a Newborn Set (sold separately). No tray is needed if you’re pulling this chair up to your dining table. A cozy cushion is also available.

I’ve had this for a few months and all the paint is chipping off on the base not even where we clean it. It’s fine not worth the price AT ALL.

Will have forever!
We love this chair. We used it with the newborn seat from birth. Now, she's starting solids. I love that it is very durable. She loves it.

This high chair is incredibly difficult to put together and is too short for our very standard table. Would have registered for a different chair if had known assembly would be so challenging

Poor customer service
Our tray broke off after 3 months of using It- the customer service line automatically blamed us for putting to much "stress" on the piece when little did they know that we removed It that once to give It a good wash. Long story short they don't stand behind their product- and for a price tag that high you want good customer service.

I bought the first two highchairs for my grandchildren in 2023 and have just received two more for their new siblings! My own 3 children grew up with a stokke highchair in the late 80sand early 90s, and we love how the chair adjusts as they grow. The children are able to climb unto the chair themselves at age 2 1/2. With the added extenders the chair feels very stable! It is a well made highchair and we still use the old one from the 80s when the grandchildren come to visit. I recommend the Stokke highly!

Had to buy one for our second!
We love our trip trapp!! We've had one for 4 years with our first and wanted another one for our second. They last forever and are easy to adjust as kids get older!
