Description
The Pria Chill helps keep your little one comfy in their car seat. VentMax is an integrated, automatic fan system (two in the lumbar area and one in the headrest) that turns on when built-in temperature sensors reach 72° and adjusts speeds to circulate air through the soft, breathable mesh fabric. You’ll know the VentMax fans are engaged when you see the automatic indicator light. The VentMax system is also water resistant (no worrying about spills), super quiet and shuts off when the car power port does.
This innovative all-in-one convertible car seat is designed for three modes of use: rear-facing (4–40 lbs), forward-facing (22–65 lbs) and belt-positioning booster (40–100 lbs). Pria Chill also features soft, premium PureCosi fabrics, QuikFit for easy harness and headrest adjustments and removable infant support pillows to keep little ones secure and comfy. Easy in-and-out harness holders keep straps from getting in the way when you put your little one in the car seat and take them out, and the ClipQuik Magnetic Chest Clip promotes struggle-free buckling.

Cool and Comfortable Car seat
I received the Maxi-Cosi Pria Chill convertible car seat as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My son is 11 months and beginning to outgrow his infant car seat. We live in AZ and keeping him cool is a challenge. His hair is always sweaty after falling asleep in his car seat. He loved the Pria chill with the fans in the head rest and now sleeps comfortably in the car with no sweating! The automatic temperature sensor is fantastic and I never have to worry about him being too hot or cold. The material and padding of the Pria chill is so soft and comfortable. The convertible features are very secure but easy to adjust the tilt, headrest heights and removable padding as the child grows. Installation in the car is simple and the online videos/instruction manuals make everything very straightforward for assembly and installation. This is a car seat that seems durable to last for years and will safely and comfortably follow my son all the way until he is old enough to be out of a booster. The downside of this convertible car seat for younger infants is that it's not easy to remove from the car and carry with the infant in the seat. While the Pria Chill is rated and appears as it would be comfortable for young infants, the the convenience of being able to carry the infant in their car seat would hinder me from using this car seat for children younger than 1 year of age. In all other aspects this car seat is wonderful and I am impressed with the comfort, cooling fans, and convenient convertible features. We will be using this car seat for years to come!

Best Car Seat to Keep Baby Cool
The Maxi-Cosi Pria Chill car seat solves an age old problem: How do I keep my baby cool in the car without enough air vents back there? My youngest baby sits in the hottest spot in my car and always has red cheeks even with the air on full blast. Now that she rides in the Pria Chill car seat with automated VentMax technology she stays perfectly cool. No more red cheeks! The fan automatically switches through three different speeds based on the reading from a sensor in the car seat. My baby loves the sound of the fans, which resembles white noise, and often lulls her to sleep. You know the fans are working when the blue indicator light comes on. The light is great at night too to help see baby in the back seat. If you have a hot spot in your car, or your baby typicality runs hot, you need this car seat!!

Coolest car seat…literally
This Pria Chill Maxi-Cosi car seat has been wonderful! My little ones all seem to run hot and this built-in fan system has been a game changer. Even recently it's been unseasonably warm for us in November and December in our area and the cooling features have been great. I thought the fans might make the car seat extra bulky or oddly shaped, but that isn't the case at all. The installation into our car was straightforward and simple. There is the extra chord for the fans, but it wasn't hard to figure out where to plug-in and how to keep it out of the way. The fabric colors are neutral and nice. The materials feel really plush, which makes me feel better since my baby is sleeping in it so often while carting him around with older siblings. I love that the fabric is safe for him to be breathing near, since it's free from flame-retardant chemicals. The cup holders that are removable to be washed in the dishwasher is also so thoughtful and helpful for sticky messes. Having been through a few different seats with three kids, this one has all the features. Just wish we had it for baby #1! We are so glad we received this carseat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Great concept, but room for improvement
I very much appreciate the ventilated fabric and the fans to help reduce baby's sweating. But there are a couple of things needed in order to make this a truly premium car seat. It was hard to get the seat level. A bubble indicator would help a lot, as would the ability to adjust the recline even after the seat is installed. As with many convertible car seats, this one takes up a great deal of space front-to-back when installed rear facing. I love the magnetic chest clip, but I had trouble every time trying to you release the buckle. It never became intuitive to me. Finally, why on earth is the plug for a cigarette lighter, which so many cars these days do not have? ! ? Before buying, make sure your expectations are appropriate. This is a ventilating system, not a cooling system. Just like the ventilation system currently in a lot of cars. A fan merely moves the air around, and helps sweat to evaporate. This is not an air conditioning unit. Note that I received this product for free in exchange for testing and providing feedback over several weeks of use.

Amazing carseat
I am SO SO happy with this carseat! The quality is amazing and it is extremely durable! Installation is pretty easy too and doesn't take too long! It is super comfortable for your baby too! My daughter LOVES it and asks to go on drives so she can be in it! The cooling fans are amazing too! They really do keep baby's temperature at a decent level so they don't overheat! The fans are pretty quiet too which is really nice. The straps on the carseat are easy to adjust and don't tangle easily. The magnetic chest clip is a lifesaver too! And the strap holders are very nice to have! Cleaning the seat is simple too and it is washable. I love that this is an all in one seat and I won't have to get any other seat for my girl as she gets bigger! I HIGHLY recommend you get this seat! Your baby will love it!!

Fan of the Fans
I received this all in one car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. In the two weeks that I've had it, I've been impressed! The fans definitely help my son stay cool. When getting him out of the car, I haven't noticed him being sweaty at all (a stark contrast to his infant car seat)! The fans are quiet, so they don't cause any annoyance. The seat's fabric is cushy and breathable. My son has fallen asleep in the seat, confirming its comfort. The cup holders are easily accessible and removable for washing. The harness holders may be my favorite feature, as I never have to dig for the straps! The magnetic chest clip makes it easy to hook/unhook. I was concerned that the magnets would reduce the strength of the clip, but after observing it, I no longer have that fear! The seat positions and straps are very easy to adjust when it's not installed. Installation was quick and easy using the latch connectors with exception to getting the straps pulled tight. I recruited my husband for this step. My one critique is that the fans continue running after turning off the car. The on/off switch is a simple solution to this, but it would be great to have one less thing to remember. Overall, I love this car seat and would recommend it, especially to anyone who has struggled with kiddos getting hot in their car seats!

Cozy Cool!
Straight out of the box, I immediately noticed that it looks so comfy! The sides, bottom, and even the buckle straps have nice quality padding added to them. I was impressed that additional padding was included for the middle buckle which seems like quite an improvement on comfort. The padding and fabric are excellent breathable quality and what I'd expect in a top-of-the-line design! The installation of the seat was easy and pretty standard in terms of connecting the anchors. It's important to read and follow the seat's manual though since there are so many different configurations as an all-in-one seat! I was surprised to learn that this seat accommodates from 4lbs up to 100lbs/10 years old so it's nice knowing we can use this for a long time! This seat is also equipped with incredible new technology of a cooling system! The cooling fan is actually very quiet. I anticipate that the cooling feature will be handy during our long road trips and hotter summer months. In order to use the cooling feature, it requires a small auxiliary cord that connects from the back of the car seat into 12V power source. The cord was a bit awkward to have stretching across the car but it's long enough to tuck along the side of the car seat to keep out of the way. The seat includes harness holders so I don't have to dig around looking for the buckles. The magnetic chest clip is easy to buckle but has taken some practice for unbuckling and I'm still not sure I like it yet. I know other toddler parents can also appreciate that the dual cupholders can be removed and put into the dishwasher for cleaning. Overall, I've been impressed with this seat! I want to thank Stellar Product Testing for giving me this amazing opportunity to receive and try this car seat as part of their product testing panel! This review has been my personal experience and I would absolutely recommend this seat to other parents!

Nice all in one car seat with a fan feature
My overall impression of the car seat was very positive. I initially had some trouble locating where the power adapter attaches to the back of the car seat. Since my child is currently rear facing I didn't have any trouble routing the power cord. Unfortunately, since receiving the car seat the weather has been too cold to use the fan feature, but I am definitely looking forward to having a cool car seat in the summertime. Installing the car seat into the car was definitely more challenging than other car seats I have installed. My two favorite things about this car seat are the magnetic latch on the top harness and that it can go from rear-facing to forward facing as my child gets older. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this all in one car seat.
