Description

Sound machines help you (and your baby) get to sleep by producing constant “white” noise, masking sounds that fade into the background but help to quiet the mind and keep you from focusing on disruptive sounds that might wake you from sleep. For your baby, they also recall the comforting noise of the womb.

Yogasleep’s Dohm sound machine has been around since 1962 and has the official stamp of approval from the National Sleep Foundation.

This tried-and-true basic makes just one noise, the soothing sound of rushing air. The sound is generated by a fan inside the acoustic housing, not a recording (rest assured, you won’t get a waft of cold air coming out of your sound machine). You can adjust the fan speed and tone until you find the sweet spot you and your baby need for a good night’s sleep.

The Dohm is simple to operate, and its unobtrusive, compact design makes it useful at home and on the road (you will need to plug it into an outlet).

If you’re looking for a sound machine with lots of white noise options, songs, a night light, timer or other bells and whistles, this isn’t the machine for you. But if simple and reliable appeals, this one may work wonders.

Life saver for apartment
Love this for both baby and me. An important part of my baby's sleep routine. Our neighbor is awful and plays loud music with heavy bass and the loudest volume of this machine drowns it out. My husband needs a lower volume and is happy with the sliding scale of options.

Quality built unit
Well built little machine and it’s the best white noise device I have ever used. I fall asleep quickly and stay asleep longer.

Good but potentially unsafe
It was good while it lasted. We really enjoyed using it and the noise was great. Unfortunately the power button started sparking while changing settings. Seems a bit unsafe. I’ve seen a few reviews on Amazon saying the same thing. It lasted about a year and a half. Was going to purchase another for our baby’s room but now that seems unsafe.

Reunited with my morning ritual
Best purchase ever! I have tinnitus and I like my quiet mornings for reading, meditating, writing. This device saves me from the ringing and has brought me so much peace.

Dohm sound is a keeper!
I have the model ending with BL and it is stronger than the one model ending GR. Didn't realize there were different strengths in sound. I prefer the stronger one, but I ended up getting GR's for my 2 guest rooms and will keep them anyway. They are easy to use, work well, and I love the color choice of the white or the charcoal for the different rooms.

Great Product!
I have used these Dohm white noise machines since the 80's. We currently own 6 of them! We LOVE them. Love the colors! My. Husband left one at a hotel during hunting season, so will be buying 1 or 2 more soon! Thank you for making such a great product!

Rattling sound
Rattling sound first month of using. I didn’t have my email with order number so was unable to return as I bought at end of last year to replace my daughters old one and get a new one for my new baby in January. One works as it should, the other rattles

Best sleep machine
Great sound machine because it is an actual fan inside and sounds like one. I like that you can adjust the pitch too!
