Do these cameras work through WiFi or data on your phone as well as on the monitor?
The cameras connect to Wi-Fi, which allows you to access the video feed remotely via the VTech app on your smartphone using data or Wi-Fi. This means you can monitor your baby on your phone when you are away from home.
Does the parent unit show split screen for the two camera’s? Or will it only display 1 camera at a time?
It does! The parent unit has a split screen mode to allow you to view both cameras simultaneously. Both baby units will be muted when on split screen though.
How long does the battery last on the monitor?
When fully charged, the parent unit typically runs for about 8 hours, but keep in mind that the actual runtime may vary based on your settings.
Does this work without wifi?
Yes, the cameras will work with the parent unit without being connected to wifi. You must connect them to wifi if you would like to watch the video streams through the app.

Don't Buy!
Terrible camera! It constantly disconnects. The phone app just says the cameras are offline. When using the monitor, if the cameras are in different rooms, it only picks up the sound of one camera. We had to buy a different monitor. Wish I could get my money back!

Terrible connection issues
Parent unit struggles to connect with camera even well within the 1000 foot range, sometimes even just directly below my son’s room we couldn’t get a connection directly or via WiFi. Then one day about 8-9 months after we started using the monitor, the parent unit couldn’t locate the camera. We reset everything and tried to re-pair but no matter what we do the parent unit cannot find the camera so it is useless now and customer service is a joke.

Loved it, but it let me down
I’ve had this monitor for a year and I loved it at first. The screen is nice and big and great video quality, but there have been a few flaws. The monitor screen unit no longer holds a charge. It must be plugged in at all times in order to use it. The QR code method they use for pairing does not work well. The cameras never capture the code. It is also the only way to connect to the mobile app. If the QR code is not scanning correctly, you cannot get access in the mobile app. This has been an issue for us and we’ve been stuck without the app and tied to the monitor plugged in all the time. Was offered only a 15% discount from VTech to purchase a new unit due to charging issues. Will look into another brand.

Good Monitor for a price
I was a little sceptical buying a camera with monitor and wifi, I thought it’s usually either or,but this camera is pretty nice for a price and good picture quality & rotation view.I usually use it for day time to watch my baby while I am in another room,so for day camera is recommended, and I use ir without cry detection.I used cry detection feature a few times and it beeps about 3 seconds(I could probably see different setting), but we have second camera different brand that is used on baby’s crib at night, which beeps for 10 seconds minimum and pretty sensitive,so I like other camera better for cry detection at night.I love wifi feature and app
Is pretty easy, you can also rotate the camera at app, which is cool.What I don’t like that is takes some time to turn on/off and when it looses signal,it starts beeping.

A great monitor!!!
I had a hard time finding a monitor that gave the option of a parent unit AND mobile access. Thats what led me to this baby monitor. The camera works well and has night vision so you’ve got a clear picture in the dark. It tracks temperature as well which I really like. You can talk through the camera and play music too. There’s a ton of settings on the parent unit to customize it to your liking. The connection can be spotty if you’re very far away or have unreliable WiFi, but 99% of the time I’ve had no issues with that. So glad we went with this one over some other really expensive competitors.

For security purposes I cannot recommend this monitor set
Didn't like how the cameras connected to the Wi-Fi in a way where you could see them as available networks/cameras to connect to as if they were a hotspot or something. No way of changing the device name or password protecting it for security.
Otherwise they worked well and were relatively easy to set up. Picture quality could have been better but wasn't terrible. Camera motion was a bit jerky when moving though which caused graphics issues. And the response time was a bit delayed.
For security purposes I cannot recommend this product. Wish I had seen other reviews online about people hacking into the cameras and talking to their babies first before purchasing. Definitely going to try to return.
