The Melissa & Doug Harvest Market Grocery Store and Accessory Set has everything kids need to open their own play grocery store and get shopping. The sturdy wooden free-standing play space (with smooth, curved corners and edges and a sleek, upscale look) lets customers browse the shelves and pay for purchases on one side, and allows the clerk to ring up items on the other.
Realistic features include beeping “scanner” (two AA batteries required, not included), a hand-crank conveyor belt, a card-swiping machine, a keypad/calculator and cash drawer. Coordinating accessories include grocer and shopper role-play items like an apron, conveyor belt divider bar and a cloth shopping bag, play money, play grocery boxes and cans, a fully stocked grab-and-go rack (gum, granola bar, a magazine and more), write-on signs, cards and coupons.
