Description
Named the Nook because it “fits in any nook,” this high chair from Joovy is a great choice for those low on space. It has a small footprint and folds up even smaller: it folds compactly, like a beach chair, for easy storage, travel or outings. This is a perfect high chair to keep at the grandparents’ house or take on picnics or camping trips (a carrying handle is even built in).
Parents also love the Nook’s one-handed, swing-open tray, which makes it easy to get your baby in and out. The tray is quite large, helping minimize floor messes, and has four depth adjustments that will come in handy as your baby grows and needs more space.
A dishwasher-safe tray insert makes cleanup easy. The roomy, padded seat has a leatherette cover that can be wiped down or even machine washed. (Note: the seat does not recline. If you are looking for a high chair that can accommodate newborns, try the Nook Foodoo.)

So many Great features!
I bought this highchair for the compact, easy-store convenience. I love so many other features about it though, like the swing out tray, and the removable, easy wash clip-on top tray. Being a grandma, the best thing is how easy it is to open and close! I only wish it were on wheels.

Peeling Cushion is an Absolute No
This high chair has worked well for us up until this past year. The cushion is described by the company as “durable” however the leatherette coating is completely peeling away in chunks, potentially getting into babies mouth since there are little pieces everywhere. I can’t imagine this material is safe for consumption not to mention the flaky mess it leaves. While the folding capability is great for traveling, storage, and moving, and then swing tray is extremely convenient, I would never recommend this chair to any friends because it will not last through multiple children with the peeling cushion. And yes you can buy a new cushion but it costs more than purchasing an entire new highchair from a different brand!

Difficult to clean!
Difficult to clean! There are so many grooves for my toddler to work food into. I don't have time to take apart the entire tray unit to get around the buttons. The tray insert is advertised as dishwasher safe but it's too big to fit in my dishwasher. Wish I'd got something more streamlined

Buy anything else
Don’t do it! I hate this high chair so much we bought something else and I don’t do that lightly. With some work it is definitely possible to clean it up. But it’s not good for the messy eating stage unless you are okay with it always being disgusting. The cover comes off but you have to wrestle it off and on. It’s so frustrating. Also my baby is extremely slumped over in it even though he is very tall and can sit up well. You don’t have to get the $500 high chair for your baby to have good posture, but don’t buy this one.

Very convenient, but maybe not super sturdy.
Prior to just recently, we have loved this high chair. Since it folds down I have been able to take it with us on family trips, even with 3 kids 2 adults and all our belongings fit around it. I had been planning to use it for a long time to come, but my 30 lbs toddler snapped one of the joints recently so maybe it wasnt so sturdy after all. The tray is great though, and the leatherette seat still looks decent even though it has started to wear.

So great that I came back for seconds!
I bought my first Joovy Nook high chair in 2019 and it served my family faithfully for 5 years. It endured a household move, vacation trips, and 4 growing children before wear and tear caught up to it. It has been so reliable and faithful that it almost felt like a part of our family, especially considering how many memories we made included it. We loved it so much that we bought a second to continue our legacy: chasing children and Jesus. Our favorite features include the removable tray cover for quick and easy clean up, the swivel tray for quickly bringing food to those hungry babies, and the simple folding mechanism. I cannot recommend this chair enough and I am so thankful to Joovy for being a part of our family at mealtimes!

Love our product
Very safe and easy to clean. I have used this model for two grandchildren - first as a feeding chair, then for an "art chair", using play dough, water paints, legos. etc. There were times (the Slime experiment, especially) when I had to hard clean it from top to bottom. It is still in perfect shape (5 years old). Money well spent.

I purchased the Joovy high chair and walker and my baby and I lived both! The cushions provide a nice soft area for your child to sit - that is also wipeable! We had a small issue with the high chair - it snapped in one spot due to some back and forth bouncing from my son. I reached out to customer service and Tony was absolutely fantastic! I sent in photos and described what happened and it was as simple as that! I will highly recommend this company to all my friends because this could happen to any high chair - but the customer service makes this company stand out above the rest! Thank you!!!

Super easy to clean
We’ve had this chair for over two years. We used it for my first and now second child. It folds nicely and has a harness that can be used as 3 or 5 point. Tray comes off completely which helps with cleaning. This thing still looks brand new after daily use. I’ve had two other fancier looking chairs first and they were terrible. I can’t recommend this enough. Only possible negative is that it doesn’t look fancy but it’s amazing chair for the price.

Awful
Not sure what happened, But we’ve had this high chair less than a year and the back doesn’t stay up anymore. There were two clean breaks randomly. This should not have broke like this
