Description

Combining a night light, sound machine and time-to-rise in one, Rest+ 2nd Gen is fully customizable and ideal for babies, toddlers, and big kids alike. You can adjust settings and set schedules remotely through the app, or control the volume and nightlight with easy-access buttons on the device.

Rest 2nd Gen combines all of the electronics you might have on a nightstand into one easy-to-use device. It provides a soft light and white noise for overnight newborn feeding sessions, calming stories for preschoolers and a Time-to-Rise function for older kiddos. It also helps build healthy sleep habits by creating consistent bedtime routines.

Rest+ 2nd Gen has an up to 12-hour back-up battery that keeps little one’s sleep routine on track, even if the power goes out. Or quickly grab it off its charging base and bring the bedtime routine to any room. (The back-up battery and charging base are the key differences between the Rest and Rest+).

You don't need a Hatch membership to use the basic features, but you can subscribe to use their premium options like more sounds, lullabies and stories.

The device has multiple features, including a Time-to-Rise function, and can set various schedules with different sound/light options. It has a backup battery and can work without being plugged in once charged, but it must be powered on. The night light doesn't need to be on for the Time-to-Rise function to work.

Definitely! You can turn off the light within the Rest app or through the buttons on the Rest+.

For full functionality, Hatch Rest+ 2nd Gen works best when connected to WiFi. Without WiFi, you won’t be able to make changes via the app or use the audio monitor.

It doesn't. The Rest+ will run for several hours unplugged (at full charge) depending on brightness and volume settings and whether or not you're using the monitor. It will also operate on backup battery if your power goes out.

Not worth it
The worst sound machine. Constantly turns offs while our baby is napping. Never received a base either so I had to buy a comparable base off of Amazon and it still turns off. Hatch support also is zero help. Pretty expensive for a noise machine that is super glitchy

Im not sure why people rave about this product. I feel like having a night light and a "go to" playlist on Spotify would be just as good. The machine "disconnects" often and says that its offline, or I will try to turn up/down the light or sound and it will not react. It also like cuts off sound here and there. Not sure if its just my machine that isnt performing well but I could have done without it.

Poor durability
I loved this sound machine. Unfortunately, it no longer works off the base. Good luck trying to reach Hatch for a warranty claim. The customer service number does not accept calls. I received it as a gift and was pleased with it-the app capabilities, sounds, and colors were perfect but I can't bring it to a different location without it turning off. The backup battery was the reason I wanted this version.

Hatch is a Holy Grail item in our household!
My kids have been using a sound machine since they were born. As soon as the Hatch turns on, they know it's bedtime, helping us all wind down and ensuring a peaceful night. It masks outside noises, providing them with a consistent, uninterrupted sleep. I love the 2nd Gen base for its portability, and we always bring along a spare power cord when we travel—it's a lifesaver! When our 1st Gen device started acting up, customer service was fantastic, which is why I'll continue to recommend Hatch products to all my friends with babies and keep using them myself.

AMAZING product, and the best Customer Support

The volume is a lot
The volume is a lot quieter than the previous hatch we had. This one is almost 100% compared to the other at 50% to be close to the same volume. Also not quite sure what the point of the base is. Appreciate the schedule options.

The new generation sucks
Miss my original Hatch+. That device was much louder than this new generation Hatch+. The new gen Hatch’s 100% volume is similar to the original’s 40%. Even on full volume, the new device doesn’t mask the sounds from outside or even inside the house.
Also, getting rid of the audio monitor option sucks!! I miss the audio monitor; it was so helpful to have that as a backup option.
I do not recommend the new gen device and would not buy it for gifts anymore.
