The advantage of buying a stroller frame for your car seat, rather than a full stroller, is that it can be lighter and more compact for hoisting into the trunk of your car. The lightweight feature is particularly great for when you’re exhausted after birth. Of course, the downside is that your baby outgrows it along with the infant car seat.

This is one of the best stroller options for a newborn if you have any of the Graco car seats, but keep in mind it isn’t compatible with other car seat brands.

It folds up very small indeed, so it’s great for people with small trunks. It’s also great for people who travel a lot by rail or bus, because it’s easier to haul up steps than a travel system (infant car seat + full stroller). What about ease of folding? Although the fold can be accomplished one-handed, some people find the little levers tricky to maneuver. Plus, the wheels have a harder time with bumps than the larger wheels on full strollers. On the plus side, the storage space is generous and the cup holders are included.
