Description

Designed for the Mockingbird Single-to-Double Stroller, the 2nd Seat Kit allows you to add an additional seat to your Stroller and choose from tons of useful two-seat arrangements. Mockingbird’s top and bottom seats are also interchangeable, so you can use both of them with children up to 45 lbs.

To use the 2nd Seat Kit with an infant, pair with Mockingbird’s cozy lie-flat Bassinet, the practical space-saving Infant Seat Insert or one of their Car Seat Adapters compatible with over 40 different infant car seats (sold separately). For twins, it’s recommended to use the 2nd Seat Kit with two Infant Seat Inserts or with two identical car seats.

This updated version of the 2nd Seat Kit also includes a pop-out visor on the front of the canopy for additional sun protection and seat straps that automatically adjust to child’s height with one quick pull (no more manual re-threading).

This product is the second seat for the Mockingbird Single-to-Double Stroller. The Mockingbird Stroller is compatible with various car seats when using an adapter, including the Baby Jogger City GO 2, Britax B-Safe models, Chicco KeyFit and Fit2, Clek Liing and Liingo, Cybex Cloud Q and Aton M, Evenflo Embrace and Nurture, Graco SnugRide models, Maxi-Cosi Mico series, Nuna Pipa series, and UPPAbaby Aria, Mesa Max, and Mesa models from 2020 or newer.

The 2nd seat for Mockingbird is on Babylist and on our registry, but says it’s not eligible for the 15% discount because it’s “not in the babylist”. Why is this?

You do! The second seat is needed when using the Mockingbird with two kids.

The 2nd Seat can accommodate infants but you may want to use the infant insert for the newborn stage. This seat can be used for children up to 45 lbs.

I just recently purchased the single to double stroller and plan to use the seat it comes with me and Nuna infant car seat with its adapter. What adapters do I purchase to place the Mockingbird seat at the lower level with the infant seat on top?

You would need a Mockingbird car seat adapter for the Nuna Pipa. With that and the 2nd Seat Kit, you should be all set. The 2nd Seat Kit will have the additional adapters you would need.

So nice to have- but heavy!
I love our stroller! We've had it since my daughter was born almost 4 years ago and recently purchased the 2nd seat kit for my son. It is wonderful having so many options but two things we've been slightly annoyed about was 1. The the bassinet attachment and regular seat in the front is tight! The seat in front can't recline at all if it's facing forward. And 2. It's very heavy. Heavier than I realized but I guess that's a 2 kid problem? Haha we love it either way and look forward to buying the little ride on board soon!

Really is a bright baby pink I love the color it’s beautiful too. The seat is great quality. The leather is nice too. The adjustment kit is great quality too it doesn’t feel sketchy if it’s really going to stay locked in and hold my children up on the stroller.

Second seat is great
The kit for making the stroller a double stroller is great! It’s so easy to use. My only complaint with the stroller is that there’s no built-in parent’s organizer. The add on one is not very convenient when there’s a second seat (or car seat) high up on the stroller.

Front heavy
I have a 2+ year old and a 1 month old so having a double stroller is crucial. I love all the options with a mockingbird, but it’s not quite perfect. With the carriage the front seat fits very tight in the most upright position and it’s hard to put it all together. With the front seat it also makes the stroller very front heavy and I’ve almost tipped the stroller forwards a few times which is a little scary with a newborn in the carriage and not strapped in. I haven’t tried the other configurations yet, but I will when the weather warms up. I don’t usually put my stroller in the car but I’d imagine it has its challenges and takes up a lot of space in a mid size suv. I still refer this stroller to friends :)
