Description
The popular Chicco KeyFit 30 features a one-pull LATCH tightener in the middle of the base, so you don’t have to struggle with tightening it on the side. Its leveling foot ensures proper installation for all back seats (even uneven ones), and it has bubble level indicators on both sides to show that it’s installed properly. However, it’s particularly difficult to use without the base, particularly to get it level.
The seat is thickly padded and lined with energy absorbing foam for side impact protection, but the canopy is small and doesn’t have a peekaboo window. (Chicco introduced the KeyFit 30 Magic with a mesh panel extension that’s a bit pricier.) The entire cover can be removed to be machine washed, or spot cleaned.
An extra car seat base is also available for easy transport in multiple vehicles.
Stroller Compatibility
To attach the car seat to a stroller, the KeyFit 30 is compatible with most Chicco strollers and other popular strollers, including the list below (this list isn’t exhaustive, but includes strollers featured in the Babylist store). Non-Chicco strollers require an adapter to fit the KeyFit 30.
