This monitor is useful because I can use it at home connected to the Wifi to allow me to use a smartphone app to monitor the baby. But it also supports a direct mode for travel when I want to pair the included display to the monitor without a wifi network.
The other features are bit simple, but are nice to have a night light or play some white noise. Sometimes the wifi connection on the included monitor screen is finicky when powering on, but never had a problem with the app.
The wifi security seems decent having resetable pairing keys and a few hoops to jump through to connect an app, but as always security depends on how secure your wifi network is.

Does not connect
This would not connect, either to our wifi or to the parent unit, regardless of how many times we disconnected and retried. My husband worked on it for several hours before we just returned and chose a different monitor with video screen.

Love this product
Amazing video quality and it comes with a charger for each device which is so nice. Love this product but wish the system was a little louder when it comes to notifications during the middle of the night.

I think it's an excellent product. The image is sharp and the sound is clear. The best thing is that from wherever I am (my office) I can see my baby through my cell phone while he is at home. The only weakness is the battery, but nothing extraordinary, it can be kept connected, and when it really needs to be disconnected. Great product.

Me parece un excelente producto. Es nítida la imagen y el sonido es claro. Lo mejor es que desde donde esté (mi oficina) puedo ver a través del celular a mi bebé mientras está en casa. La única debilidad es la batería, pero nada extraordinario, se puede mantener conectado, y cuando realmente sea necesario desconectarlo. Gran producto.

Good Monitor for a price
I was a little sceptical buying a camera with monitor and wifi, I thought it’s usually either or,but this camera is pretty nice for a price and good picture quality & rotation view.I usually use it for day time to watch my baby while I am in another room,so for day camera is recommended, and I use ir without cry detection.I used cry detection feature a few times and it beeps about 3 seconds(I could probably see different setting), but we have second camera different brand that is used on baby’s crib at night, which beeps for 10 seconds minimum and pretty sensitive,so I like other camera better for cry detection at night.I love wifi feature and app
Is pretty easy, you can also rotate the camera at app, which is cool.What I don’t like that is takes some time to turn on/off and when it looses signal,it starts beeping.

Good Monitor, Better Customer Service
This camera is clear, both audibly and visually, and has worked well for us. The response on the controls can be a little slow, and I wish it had splitscreen, but otherwise it's good. What's better however is customer service. The team was very responsive and helped me troubleshoot a unit that was having issues.

It is a perfect monitoring system.
Becoming parent for the first time. make you wanna buy everything you see out there, and there are unlimited options for so many things. today, 1 year later, I can tell by far from all the things I bought and I bought tons of them. This is the best and the one item I can tell. I love most of everything I purchased. it is a perfect monitoring system.
