Overview

Description

Made for maximum odor control, the Ubbi Steel Diaper Pail is crafted from powder-coated steel.

The rubber seals are strategically placed to lock in odors, while the innovative sliding lid minimizes air disruption—this keeps unpleasant smells contained within the pail. The optional childproof lock also keeps little hands out.

The Diaper Pail is compatible with any standard trash bags.

How does it open ?

It opens by using your hand to push back the latch on top.

How do you advise cleaning the pail itself? ?

It is recommended that the pail should only be wiped with a dry cloth.

Can you use a reusable liner with this diaper pail?

You can! This diaper pail can accommodate any standard trash bag or reusable cloth liner for convenience and value.

Will this work well for compostable diapers?

It should! This will work with compostable, cloth, or disposable diapers.

Does this work well for cloth diapering as well?

The Ubbi Diaper Pail was designed for disposable diapers, but it does work well for cloth diapers as well when used in tandem with a liner. To prevent a buildup of condensation, you'd want to leave the sliding lid slightly ajar to create airflow because you don’t want the wet cloth diapers to be locked in an airtight pail. Since cloth diapers are not as smelly as disposable, leaving the lid slightly open shouldn’t create a smell issue and it will prevent potential condensation, mold and maybe even rust.

Does it really keeps the smells away as claimed?

It really does! This diaper pail is made of steel which is not porous and keeps the smell shielded inside.

Can you use any trash bag?

This diaper pail does work with any standard trash bag.

What color is the terrazzo print?

The Terrazzo print has a cream background with grey, green and light brown pebble design.

What size trash bags does this take?

This diaper pail uses standard 13 gallon trash bags.

Mold and odor, don’t buy!
I have been using the Ubbi diaper pail for the last year in our son’s nursery. After using it for about 3 months we noticed a foul odor. When we opened it all up we saw black mold growing in it. We thoroughly cleaned it, dried it, and put it together again. However, this kept happening. The lid is now rusted and the mold keeps coming back. We’ve tried a variety of products to keep the smell and mold at bay. I just ordered a Diaper Genie to replace our Ubbi. I’m disappointed because I loved the color and look of the product, but it seems like there’s no way to keep the moisture from hitting the lid and causing the mold and smell to come back. I hope you can solve this major design flaw.

Great quality, highly recommend.
I been using this for my first baby and it's been doing great in our nursery. I feel like it has a good capacity and contains the smell well. I suggest using their trash bags, we used a standard kitchen trash bag but the diaper smell would leak out - the problem was fixed when we used their trash bags instead. We will air out the pail when we change out the bags, and so far no smell has lingered on the diaper pail itself. You can open the pail with one hand so it's quick and easy while you're changing your little one.

Beautifully made & fun color
Love the color. Perfect slim size to put next to the changing table. I wish it were a little bigger and it's pricey with pricey special bags. But overall great quality

Good but not perfect
I love that it is steel and seals well! No problem with smell. The openings are very easy to use. I do with it we’re taller or had a foot pedal (have the hunch to put diaper in) and had a larger capacity.

ubi pail
Great product and customer service!! Seals the smell well and has a lock function which prevented our quickly growing baby/toddler from opening and taking out dirty diapers. Highly recommended.

Disappointed
Still smells. Does not mask the smell of dirty diapers. I have to change the garbage bag every time there’s a poopy diaper.

Wouldn’t buy again
Annoying to open and close, smells don’t stay in as easily as they claim. Should have registered for one that opens with a step pedal

Stinky
Love the size of pail and convenience but after a couple of months it stinks so bad. I have cleaned it multiple times without any luck. I took it apart and I believe the smell is imbedded in the rubber seal. I can not get the smell out nor find a replacement.
