Square Refill Bags (Compatible with Compact, Classic, Select Pails)

Bought a pack of three refills, only to eventually find that all three had bags that could not be pulled from the cartridge correctly, resulting in wasteful “double-bagging” and one refill that was totally unusable. We’ve probably purchased 10 of these already, so we know how to open them without. In this instance, it wasn’t until the third that I fully realized that I wasn’t making mistakes, but that something had gone wrong with the packaging for this entire batch. And the design of the cartridge makes it near impossible to fix and refill yourself. Once a refill cartridge is jacked, it’s done.

So I reached out to DG Customer Service for a reimbursement on the purchase, along with a few details like my receipt and pictures of the last 2 faulty refills, but they refused to offer me a full reimbursement for all three refills because I didn’t have detailed photos of each one that I’d opened over the course of a month. They wanted to see:

- Picture of the Diaper Genie Refill Serial Number and Made date, located on the bottom of the refill cartridge
*Each refill has a unique series of numbers
- Picture(s) of the issue with the refill (**bags are to be pulled out at least 5 feet to show the defect)**
*** More than one refill** - please send one picture or video of the refills together showing the issue

Are you kidding? They showed no grace because I failed to carry out a borderline photoshoot every single time while changing a diaper pail with one hand and keeping a curious toddler at bay with the other.

Do everything you can to immediately keep track of any issues with your refills I guess, apparently while taking photos from every conceivable angle. Otherwise DG Customer Service will not help you. For a couple of trash bags…

I bought these a couple weeks ago. I had to throw out the bag with a couple diapers in there. They are lose fitting in the giene which means it starts to smell real fast. I wish they would bring back the old refills

This is the best refill roll! I like the fact that it is larger capacity and holds more bags, so I don’t have to change out the refill as frequently. It is the most frustrating thing when you are constantly a refilling. These containers reduce the need, therefore more eco-friendly. I feel like it traps in odors very well, and the odors don’t seep through the bags. Super easy to change the refills as well. Overall the fantastic product and I will continue to use.

This refill is a great value for how long it has lasted us. We have two children in diapers, so our diaper pail refills tend to go quick. This refill pack is still going strong after a month and we aren’t even close to needing a new refill yet. The square design is extremely easy to open and replace in the diaper genie. The instructions are clear and it only takes me about a minute to install the new refill.

As a large and still growing family we definitely appreciate the fact that this company has taken steps to make the refills more eco friendly. We are always looking for products that will reduce our ecological footprint.

Now most importantly, these refill are great with keeping any stink in our nursery at bay. As long as the diaper pail lid is closed, there is no smell. When the pail is open, you will sometimes get a quick whiff of diapers. This is not a huge con for my family, but I would appreciate if there was an option for scented refill packs (I’m thinking maybe a subtle lavender!). Overall I am very happy with this product and will definitely recommend it to any new and expecting moms.

I was excited to try out this jumbo refill roll I received from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It was easy to remove the old roll and put this in and get it ready for dirty diapers. The square shape is nice, it keeps my older kids from wanting to roll it around. The jumbo size is great, I like not needing to change the bag roll very often. And the eco-friendly design makes me feel a little better about myself. The odor control of the bag is pretty good, when it's tied up you can't smell very much. Overall, this jumbo refill roll is pretty nice.

The Diaper Genie refill was pretty easy to change out! I honestly initially didn’t love how to change the bags (slicing it off and knotting it together) but I have gotten used to it. Changing out the refill was easy to do and didn’t take much time. The size was pretty good, a lot of time goes by before you need to use it! My overall impression to this refill was WOW! I love how large it is and I immediately thought how convenient this is to not have to worry about frequently replacing the refills. The size was compact enough that it fits perfectly in the diaper genie and also contains the 810 ct refills very compactly. I have been using the same refill for over one month now and I can tell it still has a lot of life left in it. The fact that I don't have to worry about always ordering/refilling the refills is such a huge positive to this product.

The square design is cool! I personally like it. It is very easy to install and fit within the Diaper Genie. The materials of the refill bags is very durable and traps the odor VERY well. The bags are easy to rip off when they needed to be removed and also very easy to tie in a knot to contain all the diapers.

The fact that the refills are eco friendly makes me like this product so much more. The amount of waste that is created from all the diapers makes me cringe, so knowing that they are all contained and stored in an eco friendly refill bag makes me happy.

This refill roll for the Diaper Genie was awesome! I really liked how easy it was to install it. Ease of use is high on my priority list as a new parent that is sleep deprived. The square shaped design helped allow the diaper to get inserted easier compared to the typical round shape of other diaper pails. This is especially helpful when you are in larger sizes of diapers and the diapers are bigger. Odor control was top notch which is the main point of using these bags. You couldn't even smell a hint of urine when you entered the baby's room. The fact that it was a jumbo refill was very eco friendly compared to buying smaller packs. I really liked that about this size. I always try to choose more environmentally friendly products if I can. Overall, this refill is a win in my book. I received this jumbo refill from Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my review! This refill is amazing! It lasts twice as long as others and it really holds in the smell. The bag when pulled down inside the pail fits nicely and leaves plant of room to fill up! I haven't had any issues with rips or tears and it's super easy to pull down and tie to start a new bag. I love that it's square instead of round. It allows for a larger open area for putting larger dirty diapers through. After pulling the plastic strip off to get it started, it easily came over the sides and down through the middle. Much easier than the round refills. I am extremely glad to see this and highly recommend trying if you have a baby that puts out some big diapers!!

The jumbo refill is fantastic! I love how much more is in the refill which allows for less changing of the refill. The square shape is a huge upgrade and make it so easy to get a diaper (especially a blow out) inside the pail without much effort at all. The odor control was supreme and kept all smell inside. A lot of pails and refills lack odor control but this was really great. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this diaper pail refill.
