Overview

Description

Made with soft organic cotton, the Stokke Limas Carrier combines the benefits of a baby wrap with the ergonomic design of a carrier. The half buckle carrier is made from wrap fabrics for freedom of movement. The Carrier supports newborns (starting from 7 lbs) with its adjustable base and back panel. As baby grows, it expands to create a supportive spread-squat seating position for up to 33 lbs.

Made of double-layered wrap fabrics, the spreadable shoulder straps help to evenly distribute baby’s weight during carrying. Between these two layers of material is a sewn-in pocket that can hold shoulder pads (included) for extra comfort.

The carrier is also easy to use: buckle the waistbelt, put the carrier on, pull the straps tight and tie them in a double knot. The Limas can be used in front, back and hip carrying positions.

Made me happier about outgrowing the wrap
When baby was new I had a hand-me-down wrap and it was much better than any structured carrier in terms of comfort for both of us. Now that she’s 7 months and 20 lbs (yes, a very big baby) the wraps start slipping after a little bit. This has way more support and is very easy to get baby into, and it seems like she’s just as comfy! Another structured wrap I tried was definitely too stiff and separate from mom for her to really get settled, so this is a big improvement. As a nice bonus, it’s also so stylish and never makes me feel like I’m walking around with a piece of ugly baby gear lol. The only thing I don’t love is that the bottom waistband is very stiff and makes my back sore after a while of wearing her.

My new fav
My baby is 3 months old and hasn't been set down yet (but in all seriousness I am carrying her 90% of the day). I also have the Baby Bjorn mini (my favorite for the first month), solly wrap, Artipoppe (not comfortable all day for me), and a ring sling. Now that baby is getting heavier (14lbs now), this is my favorite carrier. Easy to use, organic cotton, and really very comfortable even after all day (the best of what I own).

super soft, comfortable to wear for long periods of time
this is the softest carrier right out of the box. i own a lot of carriers, and believe me when i say this one is SOFT.

PROS: comfortable, the straps are padded (which is rare for a wrap!), + large hood.
CONS: can be difficult to get centered + the hood doesn't have a secure way of closing (it's one string like piece of cloth that isn't quite long enough to tie successfully so you end up having to loop it over and over and hope it stays).

overall, it wouldn't be my main carrier or for quick outings. i'd use it for longer carries, a time when they're awake more, or as a back up in the car.
