The Stokke PIPA by Nuna Infant Car Seat is a lightweight option, and considering you’ll have a baby in it, too, the lighter the better. It has an adjustable 5-point safety harness and integrated SPF 50 sun canopy with a mesh window.

Easy installation is one of the main things you’ll appreciate about this car seat. Its True Lock system with color-coded indicators (green means installation is complete; red tells you there’s more to do) lets you know when all the buckles are fastened and locks are in place. It can also be installed without a base—handy for parents who often ride share.
