Overview

Description

The Stokke Clikk High Chair was specially designed to address parent’s wants and needs in one box. It has smooth lines and a minimalist aesthetic without pesky crevices that trap food—in other words, much, much easier to clean.

Designed for six months up to three years, the Clikk offers comfort at each stage of development. There’s a 5-point harness (that’s easy to remove) and an adjustable footrest with two positions for ergonomic support.

After mealtime’s over, just wipe the chair down and pop the tray in the dishwasher. The simple set-up makes the Clikk travel-friendly too.

Style your Clikk with the comfy organic cotton cushion, sold separately.

8 Questions
Is the foot rest adjustable?

No, the footrest on the Stokke Clikk High Chair is not fully adjustable in the traditional sense. However, it does come with two height options, allowing some customization as your child grows.

Can the upper part of the chair be used as a booster seat on a regular kitchen chair? ?

The chair does not turn into a booster seat on a regular chair.

Height from tray to floor?

The tray-to-floor height is 28.2".

Why is it for 6+ months? Lalo (comparable high chair) is 4+ months? What accounts for the the difference in age recommendation?

High chair manufacturers typically provide age recommendations, but the general rule is that babies should be able to sit upright without support before using a high chair. Lalo just suggests that babies around four to six months old, who have reached that milestone, are ready for a high chair. However, it's important to remember that every baby is different, so trust your little one's cues and readiness when deciding to introduce a high chair.

What are the dimensions of the tray?

The tray dimensions are 16"L x 6"W.

Can you machine wash the removable harness straps?

Yes, the straps are machine washable.

Will suction plates and bowls stick to the tray surface?

Yes, some suction plates and bowls will stick to the tray surface. The tray is small, so larger suction items (like large EZPZ mats) will not stick. Any bowl that generally has strong suction on other surfaces will stick to the tray well.

Can the tray be removed with one hand?

No, two hands are needed to remove the tray.

Wish we would have purchased the Tripp Trapp
Ultimately we chose the Clikk versus the Tripp Trapp due to price point. Overall we like the simplicity of the Clikk and the highchair has served us mostly well. Our greatest disappointment is adjustable footrest. Even at the shortest setting (there are only 2 settings) the footrest didn't properly support our child's feet until they were over a year old even though they are on the taller side. Unrelated, the wide base of the high chair is easy to trip over for adults or children and should be a factor to consider for small spaces.

Very Unsafe
DO NOT BUY THIS HIGH CHAIR! It is not sturdy at all. Very light weight and can be pushed over by my 15 month old. The legs also pop off very easily. My daughter was eating dinner the other night and pushed her feet down on the foot rest. Both front legs popped off and she fell face first on the floor.

Excellent for Grandparents!
We are grandparents and love the chair! Our 15 month old grandson now sits high and has a foot rest. He is very comfortable in the chair and quite content. The tray is sturdy and functional. Overall a great addition to our home for the fun overnighters!

90 90 90 Friendly & Easy Cleanup!
Follows the 90-90-90 rule! I wanted something light, ergonomic for safe feeding, and easy to clean. It fits right up to our kitchen table perfectly now that we don't use the tray anymore, huge plus! The straps are easy to unclip quickly with one push of a button (but not too easy, my toddler can't do it yet). They're also easy to spot clean or take off and throw in the washer & hang dry. The only downside is that there's only 2 settings for the foot rest, but for the price it's the best option I could find. The fancy more adjustable foot reat options are a few hundred more and heavier so this was a perfect compromise for my situation.

Tray only has one click and too far away
Disappointed with the fit of this high chair. The tray only clicks in with one setting. It is not adjustable to be able to bring closer to baby when 6 months and further away as they grow. Baby is leaning forward to try to reach food on tray and creating an unsafe eating environment. Major design flaw!

Strap configuration is a mess. Tiny chair.
This is a very small and minimalist chair. It seems mire like a toy . The directions for the straps are absolutely confusing and lead you to believe the straps stay in front which is ridiculous. The 3D diagram I stumbled on was helpful except the strap position on the bottom was not possible as shown . It was a frustrating experience. I should have realized it was too good to be true. They're going back!

Not Worth It
I fell for the sleek look of this chair, but it has some big problems that are hard to overlook.

Pros:
-Aesthetically pleasing
-Easy to clean

Cons:
-The tray is tiny. You will not be able to find a suction bowl or plate that will fit it. This also means baby’s food and silverware will fall off the tray constantly. This really impacts my daughter’s ability to feed herself. Her spoon tumbles off the tray every time she tries to set it down. Babies do not eat like neat little adults. They need room to explore.
-Too lightweight. My 8 month old can scoot this chair across the room by swinging her feet. This is a real problem and seems unsafe.
-It’s not that easy to put together. Yes, everything just clicks together, but I had a really hard time fitting the legs in. I definitely wouldn’t unassemble and reassemble for travel. Too much hassle.
-The foot rest is too low even on the higher setting. My daughter is a pretty big baby and has yet to be able to reach the foot rest. Having a proper foot rest is important for trunk control while eating.

Don’t fall for the pretty packaging! Once I became a parents and started feeding my baby solids, I realized this high chair has a lot of flaws.

Chair COLLAPSED!!!
I never leave reviews but other parents need to know our story. We have had this high chair for just over a year. Tonight my 18 month old son was having a tantrum towards the end of dinner. He was properly strapped into the chair. He pushed his feet against the foot stool which then dislodged BOTH of the front legs of the stool!!! He hit his mouth against the edge of our kitchen table. We are very fortunate he doesn’t have any injuries, just some brief bleeding. Afterwards my husband clicked the legs back in but when he gently pushed against the foot stool himself, they popped out again. I would NOT buy this chair.
