Not Safe Position for Babies
Our 7-month-old has been sitting well solo for over a month. However, this chair reclines, causing her hips to be in a posterior pelvic tilt (causes slouch and rounding at the shoulders). It is also so deep that her knees cannot bend, and this causes her hips to slide forward and her to slouch even more. Despite the 5-point harness, the straps always slip, and she is always leaning to the side. I have used rolled towels in various positions, a yoga block to make up for the low foot plate, and constantly have to reposition them and her. I am a pediatric occupational therapist- this is not a safe eating position, which should be shoulders over or slightly in front of hips and feet on a firm surface to prevent choking. I will be purchasing a different high chair that is recommended by feeding experts at Solid Starts. I will be tossing this chair versus donating, so nobody else’s kid has such poor posture.

I received this as a baby shower gift and once I assembled the leg pieces didn’t not go in properly and therefore wouldn’t allow me to connect the middle bracket proper neither the foot rest. Customer service was responsive gave me credit to purchase a new one. The second high chair was delivered in hideous condition. Scuff marks on the feet of the legs as if it was a used and returned item that was sent to me. The leg pieces were unstable and wobbly that cause a great concern for safety and the leg pieces were not assembling correctly once again by not inserting properly to the metal bracket and the foot support was not inserting. This comes as a great disappointment as I was looking forward to this product it was a #1 on my baby registry list but after this experience I would not recommend I have seen multiple comments about experiences with the actual product assembly and insufficient structure for a baby item.

If you're looking at this thinking - what's the big deal? How bad can a high chair really be? The answer is that it can be pretty terrible! The bucket seat on this is way too deep and reclined and our six month old, who can sit up really well on his own, was constantly flopping to the side. The straps don't stay on correctly and it just seemed like he couldn't get comfortable. The footrest is also way too low. And finally, you can remove the tray, but there are little nubbins where it clicks in that make it juuuust barely not fit under a standard table, making it impossible to bring kiddo to the table. I gave one star back because it does look nice and is easy to clean, but save your time and money, and do your research like I didn't.

For older kids not babies
This is sleek but just doesn’t work for babies so it’s a huge waste of time and money. The bucket seat is huge and the footrest is a mile away. This is meant for older kids, not infants/babies doing first foods. An unfortunate waste of money. I wish I’d looked at Solid Starts sooner!

Honestly I was shocked to see the negative reviews lately because I LOVE this high chair and so does my baby!! Super cute and easy to clean. The legs can be annoying, but I have the space, so they’re not in the way. I did have to wait to use it until my baby was able to sit up with minimal support, but he didn’t really need the high chair before that point anyways!

Good except for one major flaw: the little holes in the arms where the tray sides clip into are like magnets for tiny fingers. In the brief few moments it takes to secure the baby in the chair, he often manages to slip a finger into the hole and due to the plastic molding process, the bottom edge of the hole is very sharp. This has caused a few injuries. We try to contain him and get it all situated as quickly as possible, but it can be very difficult and the stress of this hazard is making us give up on this chair altogether. Please see the attached photo.

Worst baby purchase- AVOID
I’ve never taken the time to write a review. But this one deserves a review. I got over the fact that my baby would slide in the seat and that the straps are not great. Frustrating but decided to take a break until he was 8 months and able to sit up without issue. The design of the seat still does not allow for him to do so. It’s actual awful. Also, I have TRIPPED over the legs at least 5+ times now and I am done with this high chair. This item is a hazard. It should be recalled for many reasons. I would do anything to return this item. Worst baby purchase.

Chair is okay, but not perfect.
We’ve been using this chair for about six months and it’s kind of a mixed bag. The actual chair is comfortable and easy to clean. The problems for us are in the straps and tray. The tray does not sit level and angles down, which is very annoying. It also seems to have lots of unnecessary cracks and crevasses on the sides and bottom which are harder to clean. The straps were terrible and once my son was old enough we removed all of them and just stay nearby anytime he’s using it. My last note is that you can remove the tray with one hand but not slide it back and forth. So if you’re putting a child in and want to slide it out, you can’t, only remove it. Overall it’s fine I was just hoping for better.

We were gifted this high chair and I wish I had returned it. There is NO support for babies. They cannot reach the foot rest, probably till their are toddler aged. The seat is massive, super low and the straps are too big. I will have to go purchase another high chair because this is making meal times even harder.

Wish I could give this negative stars.
Zero hearts. This thing is a nightmare. None of the push release buttons work. Returned it immediately after setting it up.
