Overview
Description
Skip Hop’s spout cover makes a practical and cute bath partner, protecting your little one from bumps and bruises. The duck and whale models are designed to fit over most spouts, but work best on a standard spout with a shower diverter that can stick out, anchoring the cover. On Moby the Whale, the fins are connected to an adjustable strap that tightens around the bottom, and the tail doubles as a hook when you hang it to dry.
A big plus for this cover is the soft but highly durable material it’s made from—with basic maintenance, it will likely last you for many years.

Doesn’t fit
Claims to be a universal fit. Adjustable strap doesn’t stay put - keeps undoing itself. Cover is generally too loose, allowing the whole cover to be pushed up and over the mouth of the spout from below, exposing the metal (a toddler’s head would push it up if they stood up below the tap)

Falls off, hard to clean
Unless you have a pronounced down turn on your spout, it'll slip right off the end. It also gets really gross on the inside and you can't remove the adjuster strap so it's impossible to clean.

Works great to keep the kids from their heads. Also has a great look that the kids love to look, making bath time fun!

We love this cover.
We love this cover. It stays in place and the kids love looking at it. They have run into it on multiple occasions and it keeps them from hitting their heads against the faucet. I recommend it for any parent.

I wanted to try
I wanted to try this one so bad but my bath spout didn’t fit it no matter how hard I tried to put it on. It’s not easy to place on. My daughter did love this so much that we used it as a bath time toy in her tub

This spout cover was a hit. It's soft and fits well over the bath spout. I love that it stays put well! My kids love that the water shoots over the top!

I’ve tried a few
I’ve tried a few spout covers in the past, but they never seemed to stay on the spout very well. My child was able to very easily slip them off, or they didn’t stay on regardless of tiny hands. This cover, however, really stays on, and doesn’t impede the water flow in anyway! It’s also super freaking cute! The only thing I will say, if you have the kind of bath spout where you have to pull the spout down to turn on the shower, it is a bit difficult, and I have smaller hands. Still, I’d trade that minor inconvenience for my child’s safety any day.
