Description

This Motorola Baby Monitor lets you keep an eye on your baby from anywhere. The camera is controlled remotely from either the parent unit or smartphone through the Motorola Nursery app. Pan, tilt and zoom for the best view of baby, as well as listen in and talk to your little one using the two-way talk feature. It also includes infrared night vision. Choose the option with one camera or two.

PIP has a built-in sensor that shows you the room temperature along with pre-loaded lullabies, soothing sounds and stories. It can be wall or table mounted. The 5.0” stylish portable parent monitor has two noise level indicator bars that you can see from all angles.

Does it have motion alerts?

This camera has Motion Detection, so you'll get in-app notifications when your baby moves.

Is there a fee so videos are stored?

The Motorola Nursery app offers a video and photo gallery free of charge.

Is this camera easy to remove from the wall mount when already mounted, if I want to travel with it?

The baby unit (camera) is screwed on to the wall mount. So it is hypothetically as easy as unfastening the screw to release the camera from the bracket.

Can you stream to parent unit AND a smartphone at the same time? Like can the babysitter have the parent unit & the parent check on the stream from the restaurant?

Absolutely! As long as the baby unit is connected to WiFi, you can use the app and the parent unit at the same time.

Can the camera be attached to a stand if we’re not able to wall-mount it?

Totally! The camera comes with a stand when first received along with a separate wall mount.

Can the cameras be used while plugged in with a cable wire or do they have to be charged in order to work?

You can totally use the camera while plugged in.

How long does the monitor battery last?

When fully charged, the monitor has a 6 hour battery.

What is the range on the camera monitor without using WiFi?

The baby unit of this monitor can be placed as far as 1,000 feet away from the parent unit while maintaining a reliable connection.

Is there a limit to the number of phones/apps that can connect to the camera? Is there a limit to the number of apps which can simultaneously stream?

You can connect up to four devices to the camera for multi streaming. Simply log in to the same account using the same credentials on each device to access the live stream.

Does the monitor filter out a white noise machine playing in nursery?

The monitor does not filter out a white noise machine in the nursery. It will transmit the data through a radio signal and will pick up any sounds in the room where the camera is.

Like but Don't Love
I love this camera and monitor set. The only problem I consistently have had is connecting to wifi via the app- which for me was a huge reason for purchasing this camera specifically. But overall I like the monitor and camera + will be purchasing an additional camera with my second coming in a few months.

Terrible. Pick another option.
By far the worst product I put on my registry. We literally have to shut the monitor on and off at least 5 times to get it to connect. It’s so frustrating.

Great until it stopped working
Loved this for 8 months before it broke. It sends notifications to my Apple Watch when she moves in her sleep, temp, sound etc which I loved but now I’m spammed because the temperature reads ridiculously high (3 of my babies room walls are external walls so an accurate temp read is important) and the image flickers and thinks there is motion in the room.

Poor connection. Constant loss of connectivity
I’d honestly give the Motorola PIP1610 HD 5 stars if it weren’t for the connection issues. I’m on my second device and the handheld monitor consistently loses connection. Everything else is exactly what we need, but how can a parent feel safety for their child when the connection goes out during the middle of the night. Trouble shooting and customer support cannot offer a fix.

DO NOT RECOMMEND
I do not recommend this baby monitor. The picture is bad, the battery light on the monitor never turns off so while using it at night, I have to cover it or else it's like having a bright nightlight in your room. Every time you turn on the monitor it has a screen asking you to download the app even though you've already downloaded it. Fifty percent of the time when I turn on the monitor it says the camera isn't working, so I have to restart it. The app takes a long time to load. Using this monitor has been incredibly frustrating during a time when you really need your technology to work well.

Not worth any dollars
Do not purchase this monitor. First/biggest problem: It takes what feels like forever to connect each time you turn the monitor on (it’s probably like 4-6 minutes, which is a long time when it comes to trying to see your unsupervised child). On top of that, it beeps loudly and continuously the whole time it’s trying to connect, and you cannot adjust the volume.
Which leads to the next problem: It randomly disconnects constantly. Which, paired with the loud beeping, is a really bad way to wake up in the middle of the night, especially when sleep is such a luxury.
Lastly, if you want to do anything beyond view your kid live (which you could do with a security camera at half the price), you have to subscribe to their membership.
There are much better products out there.

Do not recommend
This monitor isn’t the best i got it for the fact it gave me a screen then i can also use the app if needed. It also was rated one of the best, however, for us it isn’t. It continuously says motion is in the room when it isn’t. I had to turn that off to give me some peace of mind. However the camera is most of the time “off line” and won’t show the bedroom half the time on either screen (phone or monitor). So when my baby is sleeping i can’t see her, it isn’t safe, i have to go into the room unplug and re plug it in which by that point i woke up the baby.

Would not reccomend
The app constantly alerts me about movement when there is no one in the room and then doesn’t record actual movement. The app always has some issue syncing too. Then after a few months they try to sell you a subscription service to see the videos.

Terrible Product - Look Somewhere Else
Go with a different product - does not work and is definitely not worth the price. I chose this monitor because it has a standalone monitor and an app. Every week, I have had a different unresolvable glitch and the online support and instruction manual are terrible. The connectivity to the standalone monitor will drop even with strong wifi and standing in the same room as the camera. Everyday. I have to switch the monitor on and off repeatedly to get the live feed everyday and eventually stopped using it altogether. We could also do without almost all of the app features - we just wanted a way to be alerted when our baby was waking up reliably and this monitor fails to do even that. Both the monitor and app function on a weird lag that makes it difficult to distinguish movements. Even if you are one of the two approved app users, you will not be able to check the camera while not on the same WiFi network. I used the app’s white noise option in the app this week and then the icon for it disappeared from the app, but the noise is still playing and there is no way to turn it off without powering off the camera. I’m ready to throw in the towel and go for a different product after really fighting to make this one work.

It has HD quality video and can Tilt it
As mother of two kids this baby monitor is so useful for me. I am impressed with the HD quality video which is visible in night too. Nice smart device gives alerts with motion. The monitor can tilt in different directions and has zoom function too. Its literally a saver for me.
