Overview

Description

Swaddling gives babies the snug embrace they’re used to from the womb, and helps prevent their startle reflex. Dr. Harvey Karp is the pediatrician whose 5 S’s started the swaddling revolution.

Made from 100% organic cotton, this ultra-soft and breathable swaddle features a unique double-zipper that allows for easier middle-of-the-night diaper changes. An inner arm wrap and leg flap prevent break-outs, and the special Velcro is designed to be extra quiet. There are also arm openings that can unsnap to allow for arms out, if baby prefers.

Open-weave mesh ventilation at the legs and shoulders reduces the risk of overheating. This Sleepea also includes an additional strap between the legs as well as a wider opening for hip placement. The shape is healthy for hip position and development.

Note: For the first 6 months of life, babies should only sleep on their back. If your baby can roll, you should stop swaddling their arms. Babies need to be able to push up in case they roll onto their tummy and their face is pressing against the mattress.

What we love about it

The only swaddle that works
After coming home from the hospital as first time parents we just could not get the blanket swaddle down and I’m so happy I had this waiting at home! We have the blanket swaddles, Halo, swaddle up, etc. and this is the only one our baby can’t break out of (and the swaddle up but he’s not a fan). This is so easy and quick. Plus he instantly gets calm. 10/10 recommend having this.

We received this gift as part of the Babylist Sleep sack pack. This has been my baby's favorite sleep sack. We love the mesh which allows baby to not get overheated. We just noticed there are arm holes which is great because our baby no longer likes his arms swaddled. Super easy to get baby into and out of this swaddle.

Insanelyyyy easy to use. So quick and efficient. We had to use their adaptive method for swaddling since our little one is so small, which the company recommends using a small towel to wrap their arms in first before swaddling to prevent breakouts and it is the best item for any parent. Hands down.

I love how snug it keeps baby. I also love that it zips and you don’t have to take the swaddle off of baby for night time changes!

Our baby didn't like how tight it was, and it didn't seem like going up a size helped at all. The Halo Sleepsack has worked much better for her. I just couldn't swaddle her in a way she felt comfortable with the Sleepea. It is really easy to put on though so if your baby likes it, you can't beat how easy it is.

It’s very easy to put on, they wash well, and they calm baby down during the baby witching hour. Our baby loves to try and get their hands out of swaddles and this one is the hardest so far for him to do that!

Wish I'd just bought this first.
We tried a number of other produces recommended on a mom-doctor group but both covered the hands and he was already rolling over. He has been very happy using this after using the snoo. We bought 3 (home, daycare, spare) and that's working great.

Game changer!
We spent so much money on swaddles and our baby managed to fight his way out of all of them after a few minutes and refused to sleep in his bassinet! All of that changed when we bought the sleeper! Baby is so comfortable he doesn't try to wiggle out of the swaddle and for the first time he is sleeping for long stretches at night in his bassinet!! I'm finally able to get some sleep now! I can't recommend this product enough, it really has been a life saver!! Question though- how many togs is it? I'm unsure how to dress baby underneath in a 20 degree Celsius room!?!

Did not keep my baby's arms down so it made her more restless - would only recommend for babies under 8 weeks

Not the best Velcro
I like the convince of the double zipper swaddle. My son also really likes it . The downside would be that the Velcro that holds the arms in. It's already curling and not sticking in the corners. I've only had the swaddle for about a month
