Designed for the littlest babies, HALO’s Newborn Insert helps ease the transition from womb to bedroom. Made from soft, breathable mesh, it cuddles newborns, providing the cozy feeling of being held. When they feel safe and secure, they’re more likely to fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. It’s the only Newborn Insert approved for use with the Halo BassiNest (sold separately). The Insert clips securely onto side walls and can be removed for machine washing.

will this work with the Halo Bassinest swivel?
Yes, this is compatible with the Halo BassiNest Swivel Sleeper 3.0.
Does this work for the Twin Halo BassiNest?
This doesn't work with the Halo Twin BassiNest.
There is no ability to Velcro the side. Is there an error with the Velcro? One side will go through the hoops, but there is no way to Velcro it to close it securely, as the Velcro does not close.
There isn't Velcro on it, but it does have hooks to secure it to your bassinet railings.

This was great for our premature baby to further simulate the womb for good sleep in the first 6 weeks or so. Our baby tended to want to side sleep so this made us feel safe he would not roll over when fully swaddled. I don't think this is a must have and you use it for a very short time

If you have the halo bassinet, you need this for your newborn baby. It solved our issue of our daughter not wanting to sleep in the bassinet because it was too open. This product makes the bassinet smaller and more comforting for baby. I did read some other comments saying it wasn’t safe. That is not true because the insert is thick, very breathable mesh. Baby can breathe just fine even if their head is to the side.

The newborn insert is such a neat accessory to the Bassinest! It provides a more womb-like space for our babe which I can only imagine is so comforting for him. He loves to be snuggled in close and I appreciate that the newborn insert is close enough, but not too close to make me nervous for safety reasons. It’s made from a breathable mesh that allows for great airflow which is important for newborns. The bottom is a sturdy flat surface. It clips on easily to the sides of the Bassinest and is a secure fit. One of my most appreciated features, it’s machine washable!

I always felt like her face was against the fabric and could suffocate. After talking with her pediatrician, she recommended we discontinue use as well due to the risks of suffocation. I wish I would’ve spent the money on something else. After we decided to stop using it and after talking with the doctor, I slept better knowing she would be safe, and she slept just fine without it.

It was not snug enough to do anything of worth. We took it out and used the bassinet by itself. Waste of money, and it's plastic.

This was so great for our daughter. She was under 4 pounds when we brought her home. After a few weeks we moved her into this insert (she was swaddled as well) and she slept great, I recommend it!

My little one never liked it. We put her to sleep in the Halo swaddle sleep sack in the Halo Bassinest and she slept wonderfully!

My little one was born very large (almost 11 lbs and 23.5" long) so it was difficult for him to use it. For the few weeks he was in it, it was great. I felt comfortable about him being safe and snuggled in it.
