Customer reviews
I do not like the way the stroller folds, it’s awkward because you have to hold down 2 buttons and then fold the stroller, but it folds awkwardly. As Mom’s, we don’t have 2 hands to use to fold a stroller, our hands are usually full! Also, when the stroller is folded, it sometimes tips over and if you don’t stand it up just the right way! So annoying!
The car seat is narrower than other car seats . My 3 month old who is 15. lbs and 23 inches long - his shoulders touch the sides of the car seat and he’s almost squeezing to fit in! I do understand the child needs to fit snuggly in the seat for safety reasons, but it seems too snug.
Pooor customer service
No good at all
The positives are the system looks nice and leads you to believe that the quality is high however after a few uses there have been issues overall.
The negatives are the car seat for my newborn is a concern as the seatbelt harness would not tighten easily. It seems I have a defective product. In pulling the strap to tighten it takes every bit of strength to pull while newborn is in his car seat. While pulling so roughly the seatbelt by his neck and face pulls at his skin and hurts him. So I had to make sure to put a barrier between his skin and the belt when strapping him in securely. Tightening the seatbelt worked better when he was not in the car seat making it difficult to use with ease when transferring him from the bassinet on outings. The seatbelt straps are completely awkward and tend to rub him roughly and or awaken him from a deep sleep when loosening the straps as the straps tend to get stuck while car seat is in the base and in using the newborn insert, waking baby and having him upset during transfers.
We also experienced the car seat detaching from the stroller base when trying to tighten the seatbelt with strap. This experience was frightening and unsafe while baby was in the car seat.
The bassinet feels unsteady when snapping into base and rocks back and forth not a firm click into the base. Again the bassinet was a reason for my initial excitement in the purchase however not a fan while baby is so small. I feel unsettled to have my little guy ride in the bassinet with a fear of the bassinet detaching as well.
Recently the other issue we have experienced is the ease of the wheels. They stopped spinning properly almost as if I had the lock on the base, which I kept checking while pushing stroller. The wheels were sliding through the big box store instead of spinning. The smoothness and ease of pushing the stroller has now become difficult and I have to stay in a straight line for the wheels to function properly. I am unable to turn right or left as the wheels do not spin properly any longer and I have not had this for very long. I had hoped for my new baby to grow with the system and now I tend to not even want to use as it is overwhelming with the multiple malfunctioning issues we have experienced within the first couple of weeks of using for our newborn.
Lastly, the customer service with Evenflo is not great. My husband and I purchased our travel system in November and reached out to them via their website to explain our experience so we can resolve the issues and have yet to receive an update. We sent a video via email and have emailed several times without any further response.
At this point I feel uneasy continuing to use my newly purchased travel system with my new baby as it is unsafe to use in its current condition.
Again my husband and I had high hopes, and I was excited when I initially received the car seat stroller, however our expectations were not met and our excitement quickly diminished.
I hope this helps any new parents looking at this as an option. I may have a defective product however without any communication from Evenflo it is difficult to understand anything further than our experience as customers.
