Overview

Description

The Elvie Pelvic Floor Trainer is a device that measures pelvic floor contractions, helping you build strength to avoid symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction. (The pelvic floor is a set of muscles that sits like a hammock from the pubic bone at the front to the tailbone at the back. The uterus and bladder sit above your pelvic floor and your urethra, vagina and rectum run through it.) Improving pelvic strength can help with leaks, prolapse, postnatal recovery, mental well-being and more.

The Elvie connects to an app so you can visualize and improve your technique. Patented technology detects directional pull, so you’ll know if you’re pushing muscles down instead of pulling up (correct movement is key to building strength). To improve pelvic floor strength in four weeks, Elvie recommends five minutes of training a day, three times a week.

Key features:

  • App: Set reminders and goals in the app while also tracking your progress on each exercise and score
  • Six exercises and four levels: Strength, speed, lift, pulse, hold and step exercises help build muscle power; progress from training to advanced
  • Designed with medical-grade silicone to be small, smooth, easy to insert and comfortable (created by women for women)
  • Optional cover for a custom fit
  • Rechargeable and portable: Carry Case doubles as a wireless charger

Wondering whether you can use the Elvie Trainer while pregnant? While there aren’t any technical reasons it can’t be used, Elvie doesn’t recommend using it unless you have consulted with a healthcare professional first. Their ideal timing recommendation is at least six weeks postpartum.

Does not charge
The initial set up was fine but then the trainer failed to charge and I haven’t been able to use it.

I like the games.
I’ve only used this once. At first, I was excited that it could pick up my Keagle muscles, which are very weak. Then it seemed to start glitching. It was showing that I was contracting my keagles and I wasn’t. The ball was constantly in the air. I’m worried that my data is inaccurate. I’m looking forward to trying it again and I hope the same thing doesn’t happen.

Will never buy from them again
This is some of the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time and after reading reviews, I'm really disappointed. I was planning on also buying a breast pump, but after this experience, I'll be looking elsewhere. I purchased the Elvie Trainer and the next morning received a text for 25% off the trainer. I contacted customer service and they told me they had to submit the request (to add the discount to my order (not even showing as processed yet) OR cancel the order so I could re-order with the discount). I didn't hear back after serval days after I was reassured a response within 2 days. I emailed the customer service email that is included in the receipt, and it bounced back. Its no longer in use. So then, I chatted in. No one ever responded. A few days later, chatted in again, where I was told I just needed to wait to hear back if my request was granted. Then about a day later, I got an email that the product shipped. It's been almost two weeks and I have no response from customer service. Tried chatting in again, still no response in the chat, finally called and am now able to return the product but have to pay for the return. I'm really bummed about this because I was eager to try out the trainer but this situation has ruined the experience, I wont even open the box. At the time of writing this review, I still have never heard about my request to 'cancel' or 'get the discount applied' (After calling, their records indicate that they only submitted a request to cancel my order, not making any note about the discount or request to credit the discount amount).

Waste of money, don’t bother !!
Bought this a few weeks ago,
Useless !!!
When I reported this to the company they came back with instructions that I had already read on the website, no offer of a refund after the product did not deliver its promises
I wish I had chosen a similar product on the market which offers a 60 day refund if not satisfactory

Good, with room for growth.
Overall, Elvie has helped me. But a couple of things:
1. The manual is awful. When many of your clients are older, why would you use light ink and small print. I couldn’t read it, and had to figure it out by trial and error.
2. After I reached a point where I had things under control I slacked off. After awhile I needed Elvie again. But it started me at an advanced point. It would be good to have a refresher program.

Not worth it
Really disappointed for such an expensive product. I have emailed numerous times the customer service and the service they provide is really bad. I wish I could have seen any improvement on my pelvic floor, but nothing. Not worth it 😞
