Overview

Description

Featuring Skip Hop’s adorable Beluga design, this three-piece set includes the Smart Sling 3-Stage Bath Tub, Bath Spout Cover and Waterfall Bath Rinser.

The innovative 3-Stage Sling Tub grows with baby through three stages. The sling locks into two ergonomic positions: higher for full-body support and lower for seated support.

The Waterfall Rinser keeps water out of little eyes and ears as you rinse away soap and suds. It’s designed with unique interior ridges that provide an even and gentle flow of water.

To round things out: the Spout Cover protects baby’s head from bathtime bumps.

Does the tub need to be submerged in water or does it fill with water on its own? Can it be used on a shower floor with no tub?

The tub on this set needs to be submerged in water, as it doesn't fill on its own, so you'll need to place it in a bathtub or on a shower floor.

Missing the spout protector
I received this, but it didn’t come with the grey whale bath spout protector.

My 4 month old baby got one of her fingers stuck on the side where the net clips in! Definitely
Should not have any gaps there for this exact reason. My poor baby was screaming in pain.

Slippery bottom
Not great, not horrible. Unless you’re trying to take the tub apart to wash the mesh. It’s so to take it apart. The bottom is so slippery. As soon as my a baby started to stand we had to stop using it. She would slip even if sitting without the mesh insert. As soon as she started to move around more independently we stopped using it.

Worth well for the first few months.

Only nice for first stage, then it’s a struggle
Only good for first stage and once baby can sit in their own. Transition was very inconvenient because the baby was too big for the sling, even in the lowered stage but without it, there was no support for the baby to sit upward. I had to basically wash with one hand and support with the other. After baby was able to sit, it was convincingly to use it for quick baths or when trying not to use much water, otherwise regular bath tub did the trick! Also, at some point the warning label inside the tub started peeling and floating in the water, caught my baby a few times trying to pick those pieces up and stick in her mouth. I understand they have to warn about the risks but better quality material that doesn’t degrade in water would be much more helpful.

Love this tub
Love this tub! This is good for all babies from birth to toddler, convenient drain hole so you can drain into the sink without lifting it full of water. Comfortable sling for small babies and a hook to hang dry in the shower. Also made out of thick plastic so won’t grow mold. No issues 3+ months in.

Best bathtub for newborns
My baby loves this! I thought she would cry but she loves to lay back and relax during bath time! I highly recommend

Great long term bathtub!
This is a great bath tub - my 15 month old still uses it daily. Easy enough to transfer between the stages and can become a longer term solution (some baths have posts in the middle that make bathing bigger babies hard and are uncomfortable for little boys!)

Save your money
Some of these reviews must be fake? It’s fine for a new born but after that it’s the worst tub that could be made. Especially for this price!! I bought a $20 tub for my moms house and it was 1000 times better. I even thought I set it up wrong and had to verify I wasn’t the problem. From 1 month to now (4 months) he’s too big for the 1st stage, to the point that he’s barely in the water, and the 2nd stage doesn’t support him enough and I have to worry hes going to drown. Please Please Please go buy the cheaper tub!!! Save your money!

Got this as a baby shower gift. Our sling did get moldy after 3 months or so despite hanging to dry, however I will say that Skip Hop was super responsive and helpful with providing a replacement. Now that my LO is 9 months old and can sit up on his own, the sling doesn’t even matter and the tub is spacious and perfect for bathtime.

This has been perfect! Our little guy is almost 10 weeks old and it makes bath time so easy because we can just fill this up and give him a bath on the counter instead of having to mess with a full size tub. I would definitely recommend this.
