Overview

Description

Designed to make its contents accessible, the lightweight Main Frame diaper backpack is made of soft fabric with a structured frame and a wide top so that when you open it, you can easily see and get to everything inside.

There are lots of pockets inside and out for stashing baby supplies and adult essentials, including two zipper pockets and two bottle holders on the outside. There’s a tech pocket inside plus elasticized compartments and a cushioned changing pad. It has top carry handles, backpack straps and stroller straps, too.

What we love about it

Meh
Not terrible, but I already bought a different bag after about a month of use. I think it's a good looking bag and is the perfect size. That being said, I HATE the changing pad with a passion. It can go in the washing machine, but it's not wipeable. Every time you get something on it, you have to put it in the wash and then wait for it to dry. Which leaves you without a changing pad until it's cleaned, and on top of that, every little thing stains it. It gets water marks from every type of liquid, even if you just set a wipe on it. It also didn't always wash out well.

Secondly, even though I thought the main pocket was perfect sized, there are only 3 pockets in the main compartment. This turns the bag into a black hole. If I put a blanket or nursing cover in three, good like finding the rest of your stuff, or you'll have. To take everything out to get to it at the bottom. Very irksome when you are on the hunt for a pacifier or anything in there really.

I could've made it work if I had to, but by the time you buy a new changing pad and packing cubes to organize it, you could've just bought a more expensive diaper bag from the start for the same price

Great design, poor materials.
I love the design of the bag, but the materials used aren’t great. The straps are uncomfortable and the material of the bag wore out easily.

Love & would recommend BUT 2 things to consider…
I love this diaper bag. The backpack style is my favorite! The two things I wish I would have considered before adding to my registry, is though it’s pretty spacious, organization is a lot harder because it’s essentially a large interior pocket with two very small side pockets. (I end up layering diapers clothes wipes etc… but it gets all messed up when used) Still great just wish I could keep it more organized. Second is the zipper requires 2 hands to close, which makes it hard on the go with a baby in hand, still love the bag and would recommend it but just a few things to consider! :)

Can’t do the straps
The backpack straps on this thing are literally the worst. We’re going to get a new one with our next baby because we can’t handle this one much longer. The zipper is annoying, can’t try to unzipper with one hand.. it’s cute though and looks great when wearing and it’s big. But the zipper and straps are the worst.

Love this bag! Fits so much and has great compartments. Heavy duty, well made, good, unisex material and color. Only con is that it's hard to close because of the structure so you need 2 hands, which is very inconvenient!

Great layout - poor quality
Love the interior layout of this bag. Also love you can hang it on a hook in a washroom and open it up wide. However, straps are super uncomfortable, the black fabric got permanently stained by baby sunscreen and the zipper for the top pocket broke in under 2 years. Disappointing! In retrospect, wish I had gotten a cheaper Amazon knockoff instead.

Horrific
Terrible pockets. HORRIFIC straps, I hate this bag! Why are the straps fabric snd not padded? Why are there such terrible and limited pockets inside? I love the frame on it and that it opens wide to find things. I can look past what the other reviews say about zipping it closed because I love being able to see inside. But wow. Can’t believe this diaper bag is so bad.

So close to perfect - but the straps lack quality
I’m on baby #3 and have been through no fewer that 10 diaper bags. None of them have been “the one”. Either the pockets felt disorganized, the bag itself was too heavy, the design of the bag itself made retrieving items hard, etc. I was so excited when I found this bag, and even more excited when it was gifted to us. The price point made it even sweeter! I couldn’t believe I had spent $200 on diaper bags before and ended up liking this one more.

But then I realized one major flaw……the straps. When I first opened the bag, it was a literal *womp womp* moment. The bag was sturdy, zippers slid like a dream (and i could open them one-handed), the structured top was amazing, and the front pockets were like they were made for my everyday items. Then we got to the straps. My immediate impression was “wow, these seemed like an after thought.” Like someone forgot a bag was supposed to have straps and scrambled to find whatever material was around to make it work. Imagine a seat belt, but like half the thickness. It’s the same weirdly stiff but thin material, yet NO padding. That was a bummer from the beginning, but then I was even more bummed when the stroller strap broke on it the other day. Mind you, I’d attached it to a stroller maybe 5 times? And it was also a dream setup when I was out and about! Everything was at my fingertips, so easy to see and so easy to get to. But it unraveled at the seems entirely and popped off after only 2 months of use.

I am actually considering ordering another bag just to see if mine was a fluke, but I don’t think I can get over the unpadded seatbelts for straps to try it again. My JuJuBe BFF “lasted” 7 years, and the only reason it’s not around anymore was that I wanted to try something different…lesson learned!

Inconvenient
Impossible to zip the bag when the main compartment is open unless the bag is placed on the ground. Very inconvenient

Loved it until every zipper broke
It's a great bag with plenty of space, however, the zippers are awful. First the small pocket zipper broke and I lived with it cause the rest of the bag was still fine. Shortly after the other 2 zippers broke. Now I carry it around open all the time until I can purchase another diaper bag. For the amount you spend I would have hoped it lasted longer than a few months.
