Let's talk: false labor

At 29 weeks pregnant, you might’ve already experienced Braxton Hicks contractions before and done your research, but if not, we wanted to talk about this way your body practices for birth. Braxton Hicks are often mistaken for labor contractions, sending pregnant people to the hospital early for a test run of the whole shebang. Fascinatingly, they can be spurred by things like dehydration, overexertion and a full bladder…so keep your giant water bottle in hand, listen to your body and when it’s tough to map out the nearest restroom, use these tricks to manage the frequent need to pee.

And just remember: you’re usually not going into true labor if the contractions go away. Here’s more about this totally normal part of pregnancy.
