The 2024 Product Recalls Parents Need to Know About
Recalls this year include infant formula, baby furniture and toddler toys.

In This Article
Every year, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announce dozens of product recalls—including for baby products like toys, formula and gear, as well as other products that affect parents and families. The reasons for recalling a product can vary from safe sleep violations to bacteria contamination, and they can either be voluntary and of the company’s own choosing or mandatory by the government.
But regardless of why a product recall happens, it’s important for parents and caregivers to be aware of all current recalls for the safety of their children. Here are most of the official recalls for baby products in 2024 so far. (Note: This list only contains baby product recalls that affected more than 1,000 estimated units.)
Nuna Recall: December 2024
Nuna Rava Convertible Car Seats
The recall: The front harness adjuster button on the Nuna Rava convertible car seat may fail to remain properly clamped on the adjuster strap, causing the entire harness to loosen accidentally. This defect is a result of dust, dirt or other debris collecting around the adjuster button.
What to do: Test your car seat's harness, adjuster strap and adjuster button to ensure the harness remains in place when the button isn't pressed. If the harness comes loose without pressing the button, you can register your faulty car seat to receive a free remedy kit.
Melii Baby Recall: December 2024
Melii Baby Silicone Baby Spoons
The recall: These silicone baby spoons with animal-shaped handles can break apart, posing a choking hazard.
What to do: Stop using the spoons immediately and keep them out of reach of children. Contact Melii Baby at care@meliibaby.com to receive a free replacement set.
Yoto Speaker Recall: December 2024
Yoto Mini Speakers (re-announced recall; previously recalled in April 2024)
The recall: The Yoto Mini speaker recall is being re-announced due to the lithium ion battery overheating and posing a burn and fire hazard. The previous recall remedy was to receive a replacement for the charging cable; but even if you received a replacement cable, the battery can still overheat.
What to do: Take the speaker away from your child immediately and contact Yoto for a free replacement battery kit. You should request the battery replacement kit even if you already received the replacement charging cable as part of the original recall in April 2024.
South Shore Recall: November 2024
South Shore Balka & Olena Cribs
The recall: All South Shore adjustable height cribs in the Balka and Olena lines are being recalled due to the spacing between the slats being too wide, thus posing an entrapment hazard. The US federal safety standard for cribs states that the gaps between slats can't be larger than six centimeters; the wider gaps on the South Shore cribs can cause a baby's arm, leg or body to slip through and become trapped.
What to do: Stop using the crib immediately and contact South Shore via email at service@southshorefurniture.com for information on how to disassemble and dispose of the crib and receive a full refund.
Guava Family Recall: November 2024
Guava Roam Strollers
The recall: Guava is recalling their Roam strollers due to a brake failure issue—the brake may fail to engage or may accidentally self-release while in use.
What to do: Double check if your stroller is affected using Guava's onilne form. If your serial number is part of the recall, stop using the stroller immediately. Submit your contact information in the online form to receive a free repair kit and new installation instructions.
Kyte Baby Recall: November 2024
Kyte Baby Slumber Suits
The recall: These one-piece sleepwear items violate the federal regulations on flammability in children's clothing. All children's sleepwear must either be tight-fitting or be treated with anti-flammable chemicals—the Kyte Baby Slumber Suits are neither, therefore posing a fire hazard.
What to do: Stop using the recalled slumber suits immediately. You can contact Kyte Baby at hello@kytebaby.com for instructions on how to destroy or return the garments for a full refund or a store credit for the original purchase price plus free shipping and handling.
Vevor Recall: October 2024
Vevor 30-Inch Expansion Baby Gates
The recall: These baby gates (manufactured by Sanven Technology and sold under brand name Vevor) are being recalled due to entrapment hazards posed by the expansion piece that attaches to the wall. The gap between the gate and the wall is large enough for some babies and small children to fit their torso through—a gap this size is in violation of federal child safety standards.
What to do: Stop using the gate immediately. You can contact Vevor customer service at csr@vevor.com for information on how to dispose of the product get a full refund.
Stokke Recall: October 2024
Stokke Yoyo3 Strollers (only certain serial numbers)
The recall: Stokke is voluntarily recalling some of their Yoyo3 strollers due to a potential parking brake issue—the brake may accidentally self-release while in use. This recall only affects strollers with serial numbers beginning with "142AA" and followed by numbers lower than “0062239.”
What to do: Double check your stroller's serial number using Stokke's online form. You can find the serial number on the label located near the basket on the left side of your stroller. If your serial number is part of the recall, stop using the stroller immediately. Submit your contact information in the online form to receive instructions on how to return the stroller and get a full refund.
Fisher-Price Recall: October 2024
All models of Fisher-Price Snuga Swings

The recall includes popular items like the Sweet Snugapuppy Swing, My Little Snugabear Cradle 'n Swing, Deluxe Swing—Surreal Serenity and more. Be sure to check complete list of all recalled swings to see if yours is affected.
What to do: Immediately remove both the headrest and the body support insert from the seat pad (there may be stitching you need to cut to fully remove the pieces). You can continue to use the swing after the inserts have been removed, but remember that swings should never be used for sleep. You can contact Fisher-Price for a $25 refund—you'll just need to prove that you've destroyed the removed inserts.
Gimars Recall: October 2024
Gimars Playpen with Mat
The recall: These playpens (AKA playards) are being recalled due to entrapment and suffocation hazards. A baby's head can become trapped in the included basketball hoop attachment, and the mattress doesn't secure to the bottom of pen, enabling infants to become trapped underneath.
What to do: Stop using the playpen immediately and keep children away from it. In order to receive a full refund, you'll need to properly dispose of the product: disassemble the playpen and cut the fabric floor, mattress and basketball hoop accessory into two pieces. Then, upload photos of the cut product using the online submission form, or email the photos to Gimars-Aftersales@outlook.com.

MJKSARE High Chairs, sold exclusively on Amazon
The recall: These non-brand high chairs, sold under the name "MJKSARE" by retailer "Guangzhoutongaomaoyiyouxiangongsi," are being recalled due to entrapment and fall hazards. The leg openings are too wide, which can cause babies to slip down and become trapped. Additionally, the tray is too easy to remove, so babies may be able to remove it themselves and fall out of the chair.
What to do: Stop using the chair immediately and contact the seller, TONGAO, at gztaamz@163.com for a full refund. Also, please keep in mind that similar high chairs may have been sold under other brand names, so be sure to check the Consumer Product Safety Commission and Amazon for additional recalls.
Fisher-Price Recall: August 2024
Fisher-Price dumbbell toy (sold with Baby Biceps Gift Set)
The recall: The plastic dumbbell toy, part of a four-piece toy gift set, is being recalled due to a choking hazard. The small gray caps on both ends of the dumbbell can come off, and because they're smaller than one inch in diameter and two inches in length, babies and toddlers can choke on them if swallowed.
What to do: Caregivers should take the toy away from baby’s reach as soon as possible and get a refund. You can contact Fisher-Price directly for instructions on how to provide proof of purchase and properly dispose of the product. The refund is $10 for the dumbbell only—you don't need to get rid of the other toys in the set, and you don’t need a receipt in order to get a full refund.

What to do: Stop using the lounger immediately and contact MEIXIA Shop at recallemail@163.com to get a full refund and instructions on how to properly dispose of the item.

If your can is affected by this recall, contact Perrigo Consumer Affairs at 1-800-538-9543 for information about disposal and a refund. Papablic Archie Infant Swings
The recall: This swing poses a suffocation hazard for infants. It was marketed or designed as a place for babies to sleep and includes an incline of more than 10 degrees, which creates a suffocation risk and violates the Infant Sleep Products Regulation and the Safe Sleep for Babies Act. It’s also missing the required warning labels that identify the remote battery as a choking hazard.
What to do: Stop using the swing immediately and contact Papablic to get a full refund. In order to get a full refund, you'll need to show proof that you've destroyed/disposed of the swing as directed by Papablic (they'll tell you how when you get in touch with them).

The recall: These twin strollers are being recalled for several reasons.
The front seat can create an entrapment hazard when it's in the forward-facing position.

The foam padded grab bar on the front seat can break apart and become a choking hazard if babies bite on it.
What to do: Stop using the stroller immediately and contact Stiger directly either by phone at 888-310-6255 or by email at support@besrey.com or stigerstg@outlook.com. They'll provide information on how to dispose of the stroller and get a full refund.

Mt. Capra Goat Milk Formula Recipe Kit
The recall: Because this product is marketed as infant formula and not a dietary supplement, the FDA is concerned that it doesn’t provide sufficient nutrition when used as the only meal source, which could lead to anemia and feeding issues in babies who drink it.
Additionally, the FDA found that the storage instructions may not be sufficient for keeping the product fresh and free of contamination.
What to do: If you’ve given your baby the Goat Milk Formula Recipe Kit from Mt. Capra, you should stop feeding it to them immediately and talk to your pediatrician about possible nutritional deficiencies.
