Malavika Prabhu

Malavika Prabhu, MD, is a board-certified maternal-fetal medicine specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, and Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Harvard Medical School. She completed her undergraduate work at Duke University, her medical school at Stanford University, her residency training at the University of Washington, and her fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Prabhu is an active clinician with a busy practice taking care of women with high-risk pregnancies, from challenging medical conditions to complicated deliveries. She is also the mother of 2 young children, and the experience of pregnancy and childbirth as a patient created her passion for evidence-based, patient-centered counseling. When not seeing patients, she spends her time pursuing clinical research and quality improvement to better care for our pregnant patients.

Outside of work, parenting, and child chauffeuring, she loves yoga, horseback riding, and reading—all made better with a warm cup of ginger tea.
