This does not come with a stand, but it is wall-mountable.
The VM5254 operates on a dedicated wireless connection between the camera and parent unit, so you don't need an internet network for it to work.

The camera can't be connected to your phone.
The recommended distance of the baby unit from the baby should be 8" or more. This VTech VM5254 5" Video Baby Monitor complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF).
You can't connect two monitors to this camera. The VM5254 operates in a closed loop at 2.4GHz between the Camera and the Parent Unit LCD. Nothing else but the included Parent LCD screen can view the Audio/Video stream.
The camera doesn't take batteries. It needs to be plugged in to work.
This monitor doesn't work on an app.
You can turn off the nightlight on the monitor by pressing the menu button and selecting the nightlight option.
You can totally zoom, pan and even tilt the camera using the LCD screen.

This would have easily cost much more several years ago before Wi-Fi monitors hit the scene. I did not want a Wi-Fi monitor.
The V-tech is simple, easy to use with great quality. I’ve travelled with it and the set up is straight forward. If this monitor ends up breaking in the future I will buy this exact one again. The only thing I don’t love is the brightness. Even on the lowest setting the monitor is bright when turned on. I set the screen to be on black mode while I sleep but will the screen on to see the baby if I hear him.
Highly recommend as it gets the job done.
