Overview

Description

Fact: babies love to be carried. But after while, this can take a toll on your arms, hips and back. Tushbaby is a strap-free, ergonomic hipseat that evenly distributes your baby’s weight—so you can carry your little one longer and more comfortably.

Tushbaby helps you take a load off, literally, by reducing muscular strain on the spine while holding baby. The squishy memory foam seat supports and positions your child’s hips in the proper M-shaped position, helping to reduce the risk of hip dysplasia. It can be used in face-to-face, side-carrying and front-facing positions, and offers support during breastfeeding and bottle-feeding as early as infancy.

The wide belt features a plush pad and built-in lumbar support, which means more comfort for you. It also features roomy pockets to stash diapers, keys and pacifiers and has a hideable bottle holder and toy loop for on-the-go convenience.

It’s designed to fit 23”–44” waists, but you can add up to 24 more inches with the Waistband Extender (sold separately).

There a few key differences with the fabric types:

  • Standard Polyester ($85): machine washable
  • Vegan Leather ($98): wipe clean (not machine washable)
  • Velvet ($115): machine washable

Note: Parents still need to keep an arm around baby.

6 Questions
Is it safe for baby’s hips?

Most pediatricians recommend a healthy seated “M” position when using a hip seat carrier. That means your baby's knees should be sitting higher than their bottom when they’re in the face-to-face and side carry position.

For optimal hip health, their hips and legs should also be able to move freely and not be straight or together for long periods of time. It's always a good idea to adjust your baby’s legs and hips every so often to make sure they’re in that M-shape in this carrier.

Where can I purchase the Waistband Extender? ?

Good news! Babylist sells the Tushbaby Waistband Extender

Can I use the carrier without the Tushbaby hip seat?

The Tushbaby Snug Carrier is designed to be used with the seat for support and comfort. Using it without the seat may compromise safety and stability.

What is a D ring for? ?

A D-ring will allow you to attach Tushbaby's Crossbody Strap to your Hip Seat Carrier.

Will this be the newer model with the d-ring attachments?

That's right! This is the newer model with the D-ring attachments.

How many inches?

This carrier fits a 23” to 44” waist. You can also use a Waistband Extender which adds up to 24 more inches.

Tushbaby
When first using the product, I understood the genius of it and enjoyed trying it on all of my littles. I just do not see myself using it on a daily basis. I do love the functionality but I am contemplating returning it.

The 5 reasons you need it
My 11 month son wanted to be carried all the time so let me tell you why you also need it.
1. My back feels 100x better!
2. My son loves to sit in it while walking around Target, because where else 😅
3. The pockets and storage are fantastic!
4. Compact and very light weight by itself so it doesn't feel like any extra weight to tote around. I strapped it right to my diaper bag.
5. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat!
Definitely my favorite baby purchased yet!

Tushbaby
Bought it for my upcoming international travel. I have the baby carrier and the tushbaby. I have used it a couple of times to just get used to it. The baby carrier is soft and nice but because I’m a tiny person it is somewhat loose even when its on the tightest setting so my baby is still kinda not secured enough because its also stretchable. It also has to much attachment that i’m nervous that it will take time for me to take it off during rush time on my flight. Over all very good quality.

Great for Hot Weather, Strong Support
My baby likes it! This carrier keeps her cool compared to traditional wrap carriers that cover the whole body—especially helpful during hot weather. I really like the hip seat design; it feels very sturdy and securely holds my baby. The only downside is the waistband—it fits tightly around my waist and can get uncomfortable under the sides of my ribcage. Adding or attaching small cushions would really help with comfort. Overall, a solid carrier with great support!

Love the Tushbaby its a must
My baby loves facing forward and seeing things. Hates all the carriers as if she feels claustrophobic. Ever since I got the Tushbaby she is happy to be carried without our arms getting super tired quick. It also fits lots of things in the zippers which is a huge plus now when were going to travel with her and do lots of walking. I would definitely recommend to others.
