While the bassinet folds for travel, the legs do not adjust to a shorter position for use on the ground. For safety, it's recommended to use the bassinet in its fully assembled state on a stable surface, ensuring the rocking or stationary mode is appropriately engaged. This comes with a mat but not a full mattress. The mat can be used as a tummy time mat too.
