This does not come with a changing pad. This only has the changing station.
The mattress does move up for easier accessibility during infancy. As your child grows, you'll want to lower the mattress.

The space is 28'' L X 17'' W. There are also small shelves behind the drawers that are 17" W and about 9" L.
