Overview

Description

This little sound machine provides the white noise that’s so soothing to babies, a reassuring noise reminiscent of their time in utero that helps lull them to sleep.

It plays three sounds specifically designed to quiet a crying baby: first a shushing noise to calm them, then a heartbeat noise to lull them into a calm state, and finally white noise to keep them asleep.

The machine also has a timer and a soft nightlight that you can set to glow solidly or pulse in sync with the noise.

Portable and battery-powered, this clever device is great at home, but is also compact enough to toss in your bag and take with you on the road. Score additional points for the simple, sleek design.

Does the light come on automatically? Or can it be shut off if you don’t want the nightlight setting?

The light function can be used by itself or in addition to a sound option. To turn off only the light, press and hold the light button for 2.5 seconds. Any sound option selected will continue.

Had to use two screw drivers to open it, also only had a few song selection and only had a few settings for the timer, 30 mins being the max. Would not recommend.

Not useful
I love the size of this sound machine. Super portable. It has a couple of sound options and they work well. It’s easy to use. Unfortunately there is a 30 minute time limit which kind of defeats the purpose of the whole thing. I ended up having to order another and don’t even use this one because baby wakes up as soon as it shuts off.

Attracts Dust
The sound quality is good but the design is poor. The white part of the sound maker is made of a material that grabs lint. It felt and looked dirty in just seconds. It’s like it’s *almost* sticky. This is the main reason I did not keep it.
When twisting to set the timer it feels like I’m breaking it. It’s almost like it takes too much force. The mechanism isn’t smooth at all and makes rather loud clicks.

It's just okay.
HUGE pain to put in or replace batteries. I also don't like how the heartbeat sound is the third one in the cycle.

It's fine. I don't dislike it enough to get a different one, but I think I would much prefer a different one.

Outperformed our other “shush”-ing machine
This! We started with a different “shusher” machine and received this randomly as a gift. It quickly became our go-to “shusher” (think Dr. Karp and the “5 S’s”) but also had other features that made it useful — general white noise (used a lot, including when out in the carrier) and the heartbeat sound which was great for helping transfer baby from sleeping on us to the bassinet. I highly recommend it for a travel white noise machine and to help baby get to sleep. I wish it were possible to change the length of time it plays for before shutting off, but it does the job so well for us, I’m still giving it 5 stars.

Can’t stay on - get one that does
Works as described but get one that doesn’t turn off like the Rohm. We started with this and quickly found that when the machine turns off it can disturb the baby. Get a travel sound machine that has the ability to stay on until you turn it off. Giving it 3 stars because the sounds are good and it does work, just missing a feature we need.

Amazing
Starting using at the hospital after delivery and was so helpful. My littles favorite setting is the heartbeat. Makes them feel safe like in the womb! Also portable… amazing.
