Infant Seat Stroller Insert
Overview
Description
This cozy Infant Seat Insert creates a flat seat position with extra head and neck support, allowing the Mockingbird Single Stroller or Single-to-Double Stroller to be used from birth (the Bassinet and Car Seat Adapter are additional options for infant compatibility).
The infant insert is made up of three pieces: the headrest, wedge and seat liner (all of which Mockingbird recently updated to a comfortable, breathable mesh fabric). The headrest cradles baby’s head while they’re still developing the neck strength to stay upright. The wedge nests in the base of the seat to create a flatter surface and prevent slouching. The seat liner connects to the seat itself and holds everything in place (Tip: later on, when they no longer need the headrest or wedge, you can still use the seat liner as an extra layer of mess protection for the stroller seat.)
Begin using the Infant Seat Insert with the seat fully reclined. Once they begin to support their head unassisted (typically around 3-4 months), consider removing the wedge while still keeping the seat fully reclined. Keep using the seat liner and headrest until little ones can sit up by themselves (typically around 6-7 months). At this point, they’re likely ready to sit in the seat without the Infant Seat Insert (please consult with your healthcare provider).
