How does this carrier fasten in the back? Is it more a backpack situation or does it criss cross and latch?

Not for me
It is extremely light weight and attractive looking, but it is horribly made. I really wanted to make it work, but every time I wore it, the straps would slide off my shoulders and clipping from the top is impossible to grab. It was never comfortable for me or my baby. I ended up getting the Artipoppe brand, and while hesitant to buy because it is expensive, it is far better, more comfortable and easy to carry baby and put on.
