Overview

Description

The parent-favorite BassiNest has been reimagined as a 2-in-1 system that easily converts from a bedside sleeper to a portable nest for around the house. This keeps you close to your little one during the day and nighttime, too.

It features all of HALO’s signature features: a swivel for the closest sleep, easy lowering wall and mesh walls for breathability and visibility. The BassiNest 3.0 also has a sleek silhouette with an updated base that’s over 30% lighter, but just as sturdy as the original.

The BassiNest comes with a polyester sheet and waterproof mattress (additional cotton sheets sold separately). It’s compatible with all BassiNest accessories, including the Newborn Insert. The sleep space becomes extra breathable when paired with the HALO DreamWeave pad for additional comfort and peace of mind (sold separately).

Warm Grey is a Babylist exclusive color, so you’ll only find it here.

Does this allow you to rock the baby?

The HALO BassiNest Swivel Sleeper 3.0 does not have a manual rocking feature. Instead, it offers a 360-degree swivel, allowing you to position your baby close to your bed for easy access during the night. Additionally, the BassiNest Soothing Swivel Sleeper 3.0 model includes built-in soothing features such as gentle vibrations and calming sounds to help your baby fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.

Extremely Dissapointing
I was really excited about this bassinet, however, the design and construction were very disappointing. With further exploration, many of these issues others have had via message boards. I with I had done more research before purchasing. 1. The leg design is a significant tripping hazard. The legs extend far out from under the basket. Thank goodness when we have tripped on the legs we were not holding the baby. 2. The basket is tilted/sloped. Not enough where I believe the baby is impacted but here is definitely a slope/slant away from the base in the basket. 3. Over 3 weeks, the mesh surrounding the basket has drooped creating a gap between the mattress and the edge. I fear the baby will get stuck. 4. Lastly, and most concerning. The mattress is made from a stretchy, silicone like matrix. After changing the sheet small pieces of plastic had broken off and were everywhere. I hope that in the future this company does better.

HOW DOES THIS HAVE HIGH RATINGS
Absolutely horrible. We have a closet on my side of the bed, and unless you have a huge bedroom or space, the legs are a complete tripping hazard, even with 2 completely under the bed. So disappointed in this. We ended up having to get another one. The design is terrible. I’m shocked at the high ratings.

Good stuff
Picking out a bassinet was so stressful with how many options there are. I’m so glad we went with the Halo. The swivel is so convenient and even though our bed is a little lower than the bassinets shortest height setting, I still love it. Our baby loves it, too.

We love our bassinet, it’s very sturdy and heavy. Has great safety features for newborns. However if you’re looking for something to move around this is not the bassinet for that.

Best bassinet!
We had another bassinet that was so low to the ground and rocked. It caused us so much anxiety at night because we couldn’t see the baby without sitting or getting up. Our baby is also very active and would constantly rock the bassinet back and forth which caused her to roll on her side. We switched to Halo and it works so much better for us!! The bassinet can be adjusted to high enough to be over the bed and the side pulls down for easy transfer without having to get in and out of the bed. We’re fortunate to have a large bedroom so the large base works fine. Definitely consider this bassinet!!!

Horrible
We added this bassinet to our registry because it clicked all of the boxes my friends had suggested I look for in bassinet. It didn't take up a lot of floor real estate (we live in a tiny apt). The sides go down, which my friends who had had c-sections said would come in helpful.

Our baby HATED this thing. Would not sleep in it generally. The sides that are supposed to be easy to push down, not so much. Every time I wanted to transfer the baby over and push down, it took so much strength that I would inevitably rouse the baby from his sleep. If by a miracle I was able to make the transfer happen, the locking mechanism for the push down sides is so loud that he would wake up whenever I tried to lock the bassinet up. Also, the footprint, not that small. And it is not easy to remove from base to use as something you can take around the house. The videos make it looks super easy, but it's not small and for someone with a c-section, not easy / light at all to lift.

A lot of things need to be worked out in this design...

I was able to put my baby in it maybe 3 times total. We ended up just using a pack in play and he loved sleeping in that infinitely more.

Even more frustrating, this incredibly expensive item on my registry can't be returned. Halo won't help us. No one will. Now I have this stupid large item in my tiny apt. Hate it.
