Overview

Description

The Graco Pack ‘n Play Close2Baby Playard features a portable and cozy Newborn Seat with infant head support and full-sized canopy to keep baby by your side as you move around your home. The Bassinet is a bigger option that’s also portable (or can stay in the playard) for when baby’s a little older.

When it’s time for a diaper change, the playard includes a diaper changer with wipe-clean fabric and integrated storage to keep baby’s essentials nearby.

The Close2Baby Playard also grows with baby, from an elevated full-sized infant bassinet for naptime into a spacious toddler playard for playtime (just remove the bassinet). Integrated wheels make the playard easy to move around the room or house.

Also included is Graco’s signature push-button fold for simple set-up and take down and convenient carry bag for travel and storage.

51 Questions
Is the removable newborn bassinet safe for overnight sleep?

Yes, the Graco Pack 'n Play Close2Baby Playard includes a bassinet that is safe for overnight sleep, as long as it is used according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. Graco designs its bassinets to meet federal safety standards for infant sleep, including having a firm, flat surface with breathable mesh sides.
However, it's important to note:

Only use the mattress pad provided by Graco.
Ensure that there are no additional bedding, pillows, or stuffed animals in the bassinet.
Follow the weight and age limits specified in the user manual.

what sheets fit this bassinet?

For the playard mattress, you can use Graco Pack ‘n Play Playard Fitted Sheets. Sheets are not recommended for the bassinet mattress.

It says infant bassinet weight limit 15lb. Portable bassinet weight limit 20lb. So when the baby is over 15 but under 20, it is still safe for him to sleep in the portable bassinet overnight?

Depending on the baby's mobility, it may be best to use the bottom portion of the pack n' play at that age since you should stop using the bassinet when baby starts to push up on hands and knees or rollover. The playard has a max weight of 30 lbs.

Is it safe for the newborn to sleep in the infant bassinet overnight?

Yes, it's safe when used as directed—set it on a firm surface with a fitted sheet and no loose bedding. Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines and safe sleep recommendations.

What’s difference between Close2Baby and Care Suite?

The Close2Baby model features a portable bassinet that can be removed and used separately from the playard, allowing you to keep your baby close as you move around your home. The Care Suite model includes a newborn bassinet that is stationary and integrated into the playard.

What are the measurements of the bassinet?

Apologies for the delay. The bassinet measures 26.75"L and 16"W.

What are the dimensions inside the playpen in case a playmat wanted to be placed inside?

For safety reasons, Graco doesn't recommend an additional playmat be added (just the mattress that comes with the playard).

What size play mat can I insert into the playpen?

The mattress in the standard Graco playard is 37.5" x 26.5" x 3", however for safety reasons Graco does not recommend using anything besides the mattress that is included.

Mattress pad?

This playard does come with a mattress pad.

What size/kind of sheets can I get for the full size infant bassinet? Is that safe for a newborn to sleep in?

You can use the Pack ‘n Play Playard Fitted Sheets that can be purchased directly from Graco. The raised bassinet can be used for sleep from newborn until they begin to push up on hands and knees or weighs over 15 lbs, whichever comes first.

Heavy, many parts, confusing
Returned immediately. So many parts, heavy, and not easily to assemble. If you’re looking for something you can carry in one trip from car to someone’s house, this is not it. I’m
Sure it’s great to leave somewhere like an Airbnb if someone wants to spend the time
Reading how to assemble but this is not what I want.

Love this. Very handy
I’m babysitting my grandchild during the day and this is amazing. Husband had it together in 15 min. Love the changing table aspect and that I can roll it from room to room

Good item, could be great if…
Overall, love the item but have a few points that leave room for improvement.
1) changing pad doesn’t hold tight and has a bit of a wiggle. This didn’t matter when my newborn was under 8lbs but has become a bigger issue as my son grows. It’s y steady and shifts so the pad is not level and my son rolls to the side/middle of pack n play. Not the safest and definitely adds a new challenge while changing diapers.
2) anything baby related should be washable. The changing bad cover does not easily come off the frame, and the frame does not easily disassemble so washing the cover is near impossible. This is not ideal, especially with a little boy. (A little Velcro on the cover could solve this easily)
3) bassinet is really only suited for newborn size. Once he hits the 10-15 lb mark it will probably be too small (but still plenty of room in the pack n play).

This is a daily staple in our lives with a newborn and we do love it but updating these few things would make it amazing!

No instructions!!!
Why would this company ship there products with no instructions on how to put it together??? Very poor planning and very poor organization. Regardless of any quality of the product this sets the tone for the whole experience and it was one epic fail.

Disassembly & Storing??
Came with no instructions and set up was not that easy without them. Finally have it all put together, but can't figure out how to pack the accessories (bassinet and changing pad). I found the user manual while skimming through other reviews but there's nothing about how to store the accessories and YouTube doesn't have anything for this model. So now I just have a full bassinet and changing pad loose in my vehicle??

A great piece to use throughout infancy!
We were given this pack n play for our baby shower and have used it since day 1! We kept it in our living room when she was a newborn for diaper changes and close naps to us in the newborn bassinet insert, and now she is using the infant crib in our room for night sleep. We have also traveled with this set multiple times without issue! We absolutely love it.

Love product but the initial assembly was tough
Purchased for my son and daughter-in-law. Delivery was super-fast. Loved working on my side. My son had some trouble with the assembly instructions.
