Overview

Description

The Explore and More allows for self-directed but contained play for when you need your hands free. It converts to play station for cruisers and finally a toddler table.

The bouncing seat rotates 360 degrees so your baby can turn to play with different toys, easily attached to built-in toy loops. A plastic “discovery window” gives little ones a fascinating view of their own feet—a feature unique to this toy—promoting spatial awareness and teaching cause and effect.

The Explore and More has over 25 activities developmentally appropriate for your baby including:

  • Musical, light-up piano
  • Peek-a-boo owl that pops out and hoots
  • Spring cloud with colorful beads
  • Swaying trees
  • Hedgehog bead chaser with spinner

It also comes with a melamine Bee snack bowl that suctions to the surface.

It’s sturdy but small and light enough to move from room to room, assembly is easy, and the legs detach for storage.

Does it have a time limit?

It's intended for ages 4m+. This has a limit of 25 lbs (11kg), or over 30" (76cm).

Does the seat spin?

It does! The seat is designed to stretch for bouncing and rotate 360 degrees, allowing your baby to turn and play with various toys that can be easily attached to the built-in toy loops.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying parts, especially the piano, break easily and that they don’t sell replacement parts. Has this issue been fixed? I don’t want to waste our money if it’s not going to last or the parts break easily and then can’t be replaced?

What does the “Cruise & interact” stage refer to? Does it come with wheels (cruise)?

The "Cruise & Interact" stage is designed for toddlers who are starting to walk and use items like low tables or couches for balance. This activity center lets them move around the outside using the included toys or other items when set up as a table. The activity center doesn't have wheels.

This activity center does not come with chairs. You'd want to purchase the Explore & More Kid Chairs separately.

How long can a baby stay in the activity center? Starting at four months?

This activity center can be used from about 4 months of age through toddlerhood. Most babies will outgrow using the inside seat portion when they are able to pull-up and stand independently, around 9-12 months of age. The activity center can still be used as a table and play space through the toddler years.

The only difference between the Explore & More and the Silver Lining Cloud activity centers is the design and colors of the toys. Functionally, they both offer the same features.

Love this for my 8 month old, but the cloud broke and I’m so sad about it. It was her favorite part. The rubber piece broke in half

Not great customer service
Bought as a Christmas gift. Piano doesn't work. I contacted customer service they are saying a replacement isn't available. Sending a $25.00 gift card doesn't help the fact that part of my granddaughters activity center is unusable.

5-star product, but no replacement parts
Love this activity center! My 2 grandchildren have used it through all the stages and we are currently enjoying it as a toddler table. Sadly, the seat began to tear and the company doesn’t offer replacement parts, so we will have to discard it when we are done using it as a table.

No replacement pieces
My child got the fabric seat wet and it go mildew spots. I requested a fabric seat cover replacement and customer service said it was my fault for "improper storage" when it was in my living room. Note that it was still under the 2-year warranty.

The activity center is good but it is expensive and if anything breaks, the whole thing is useless because they do not offer any replacement pieces.

worst warranty policy - buyer beware
Like so many of you mentioned, the cloud toy broke. Skip hop refuses to replace under warranty or even let me pay for a new cloud toy because it has been over two years since purchase. Are their toys meant to be used by one child only and then dumped? Do they want us to contribute to the ever increasing landfills? Doesn't make sense to me. I will think twice before ever purchasing another skip hop toy.

Watch out for tiny fingers!
My five month old absolutely LOVES this toy, it’s one of the only things that he will independently play with for a stretch of time. The piece with the four leaves pinched his finger and he was SCREAMING in pain. I 100% recommend this toy but just keep an eye out for tiny fingers!

Also Babylist was a nightmare with shipping and tracking so if available at Target or Amazon I would purchase from there.

Baby loves it, but need toy replacements
Spinner toy broke and I really wish you could buy the toys separate to replace it. Hopefully skip+hop will make this possible soon! My baby loves the play center.

Great toy - Replacement pieces would be great!
We really love this toy but I wish replacement pieces were sold. Unfortunately the gray piece that the babies stand on has warped from my son jumping on it as an infant. Now we are trying to use it as a table and the gray piece doesn’t sit flat.

Great for sibling interaction!
Once our niece and nephews were done using this, our daughters took over ownership. This is The Best, it grows with the child(ren), it’s great for the entire family: Baby can play solo or with older siblings, parents can actually get things done. The girls are older now, so they use this as their snack & coloring table. His should be on every baby shower registry!!

Great activity center!
I bought this during thanksgiving, and my daughter loves it. She’s 6-month now and will grow with it. So far she likes the flapping trees most.
