Customer reviews
The infant car seat's built-in light and sound machine was a standout feature. The customizable settings through the Evenflo app made it easy to find the perfect combination to soothe my child. The rotating base was also convenient for getting the car seat in and out of the car. However, I would suggest that future versions consider using steel bars for the LATCH system instead of tethers for a more secure fit.
The stroller itself was excellent. The rubber wheels and high-quality fabric and leatherette details are durable and stylish. The multiple seat positions were great for accommodating both my toddler and baby. The stroller was easy to maneuver with one hand and provided a smooth ride, although the front wheels struggled slightly with a small bump in my garage. I do have some concerns about the exposed springs' longevity, especially if used frequently in wet weather.
First off, unboxing the stroller/car seat and putting it together was really easy and intuitive.
Next, the tech safety features on the car seat are great. Knowing your child’s temperature or if they’ve been left in the car is incredibly valuable. The app is user friendly and easy. The tech soothing features on the car seat are probably pretty unnecessary. The sounds are nice, but the lights are bright and may cause overstimulation.
The rotate feature on the car seat base isn’t particularly useful for us. We always take our baby out of the car, using the seat as a carrier, so there’s no need to rotate the seat in that circumstance. If you’re planning to take your baby in/out of the car seat at the car, the rotate feature will be much more useful.
As for the stroller seat, while I like the idea of having one seat that transitions from a pram-style seat to an upright stroller seat, there are a few design flaws. The straps to use for the upright seat don’t come out when using the pram/bassinet-style, so the baby either lays on the straps or they’re just in the way. Also, when you transition to the seat, the chair part is really small. It’s ok for a baby but would be tight for a toddler. The back of the seat also does not go fully upright. It is always a little reclined, which my seven-month-old did not find comfortable. He struggled to pull himself into a fully sitting position, but the straps and narrow seat didn’t really allow him to get fully upright and kept him squirming in the seat. It forces a slouchy posture. Lastly, the snack tray doesn’t unclip on just one side to put your child in more easily. You either have to take it all the way off or maneuver the kid around it.
This is also a true single stroller. There’s no room for it to grow to accommodate a second child.
Overall, I thought this travel system had a couple useful features that other travel systems do not have, but everything else seemed basic. It’s a system that will work perfectly fine for one child, but if you’re looking for something higher end, this may not be your ideal system.
