Q&A
Customer reviews
It was a breeze to put together and is the lightest stroller we’ve had but somehow super sturdy. It’s smooth to push and easy to maneuver. I’m not a fast runner, but fast enough that the wheels on other strollers and wagons start go janky, but this one stays smooth. My husband’s words were, “no way,” when we learned you can actually fold it up with one hand. The storage basket is huge and can hold any items we’d bring on an outing. It can even hold older kids. It’s probably not rated for that, but we’ve done it and went great. I truly don’t have any notes for improvement. It’s a great stroller that can grow and adapt with growing kids and families and it’s well worth the price tag.
I will say though I love the amount of storage it has on the bottom, super large basket. It also has a little designated drink spot and a couple other little pockets to put stuff inside.
While I did have a hard time putting it together and still being unsure if I did it correctly I will still be using it and trying the different ways to configure it. I have a baby who is 8 months and a boy who is 5 who does’t like walking much so would love to find a spot for him whenever he gets tired of walking.
Pros:
- Super smooth ride. The wheels and shock absorber ride well even on rougher terrain, and the wheels are big enough to easily maneuver up a step or two if needed
- Premium quality - everything about this stroller just feels premium - the seat is well-cushioned, fabric and leather accents are thick with nice stitching, and everything feels solid and substantial
- Weight - honestly, given the size of the stroller, it's lighter than you'd expect. Not a lightweight stroller by any means, but for a double with all the features (bassinet, all-terrain wheels, huge undercarriage basket, etc.), it's easily maneuvered and doesn't weigh a ton.
- Great for tall parents - the seat sits up nice and high and the telescoping handle is great even for taller parents (we're 5'11" and 6'4" and find it very comfortable
Cons:
- size - this thing feels big. It IS big. If you're trying to fit it into a smaller vehicle or through a crowded store, it might be a bit more challenging than a single stroller, but probably on par for most doubles.
- the fold is... a bit less smooth than I'd like. you can fold it with the seat on, but it's cumbersome and the handlebar needs to be at the right place so it doesn't block anything. otherwise, you take the seat off and fold separately. Also locking all four wheels takes a second (you have to manually lock/unlock the front wheels.
Would I buy it? Yes. I have a large vehicle and it really is a nice stroller. I only have one kiddo in stroller range currently, but the double setup options look wonderful and if you have the space - it's definitely worth the splurge!
The maneuverability is excellent - it drives and turns much more smoothly than other strollers. I am able to steer one-handed easily.
My baby is big enough to enjoy sitting up sometimes but still young enough to benefit from the bassinet for nap time. Unfortunately there is no quick way to switch between the bassinet and the upright seat without some tear down and re-assembly processes. So we have only used the bassinet so far and will switch it over to the toddler seat once she outgrows the bassinet stage. However, we discovered that the back of the bassinet is tall and padded enough to prop her up to a seated position when she wants to look around. The bassinet itself is top-notch! It has a super solid frame with soft cozy lining inside. The zipper cover helps keep her warm on winter walks and the shade canopy is a nice size. The bassinet can also easily detach from the stroller for use as a portable bed on the go.
In my opinion, it not the easiest stroller to fold and load into the back of the car. It's possible that I haven't mastered it but, so far, the folding process feels more awkward and cumbersome than some of my other strollers, especially with the large bassinet attachment. The length fills the back of the trunk.
I like that it has the option to convert into a double stroller but I do not currently have all the proper attachments to try it out with our toddler.
The underseat storage basket is large enough to carry and provide easy access to our bulky diaper bag and other essentials. There is no cup holder or parent storage compartment built in (they are sold separately) but I can put my things underneath.
My favorite aspects of this stroller are the luxury appearance and feel of the bassinet and stroller frame and the smooth steering capability. My least favorite aspect is that it is not as easy to switch between the car seat, bassinet, and toddler seat options without assembly time and additional parts. I wish you could just pull one off and click another on without adapters. However, I think it can be a great option for someone who wants high quality products and doesn't need the day to day flexibility of swapping them out. It is great as a single stroller and I'm sure it would work well as a double.
Wow. This stroller is AMAZING. After trying this stroller for 2 weeks, here are my thoughts & reasons why you would LOVE the Bugaboo Kangaroo.
First off, it is exceptionally well-designed both in its features/functionality, but also aesthetically. The fabric feels very high-end and durable. The frame is scratch-resistant (as compared to some other brands) and the leather handle gives it a luxury look & feel. I have the desert tan color & it is absolutely stunning.
The wheels are large & there is barely any resistance when pushing. This has made the Kangaroo easy to maneuver on dirt hiking trails, packed gravel, uneven sidewalks & up/down steep inclines (we go on a LOT of walks). It almost feels like a jogging stroller in its maneuverability & capability on different surfaces.
The under-seat storage is spacious and easily accommodates my overstuffed diaper bag, jacket, purse & other random things.
It’s easy to collapse down (you do need a fair amount of trunk space) & I can easily lift it in/out of my SUV.
The seat has 3 different tilts, which is great because I can have my son sitting up when we start a walk & switch the seat to a flat position when he starts falling asleep. The cover also expands to fully block the sun & light for optimal stroller naps (see pic). He takes better naps in this stroller than he does in his crib. It’s made it SO easy to get out & do things without having to be home for naps always.
Next the harness is genius. It has a built- in system to keep the upper straps lifted. This means they are always in the proper position for strapping the baby in. I underestimated how nice this feature would be before - but it turn out to be one of my & my husband’s favorite parts. It is so easy to buckle him in. The harness is also a 5-point harness which is able to securely hold my 6-month old (see pic). Many other strollers that I have tried cannot accommodate younger (& floppier) babies safely. This harness keeps him secure & in an optional sitting position throughout many long walks (I’m a physical therapist so I’m a stickler for positioning).
Also, the stroller comes with adaptors for my carseat - making it super easy for quick trips to the store or travel. Most strollers make you buy additional adaptors.
The stroller also comes with a bassinet attachment, which is roomy & has 2 mattress sides (one for warmer & cooler weather).
Additionally, this stroller has the option to convert to a 2-seater. I did not try this feature, but I am thrilled by it! I know we will be adding to our family & with such a high-end stroller it’s great to get many years of usage.
Final thoughts - this stroller is high-end and absolutely feels that way in every sense. I have several mom friends that have other popular strollers. All agreed that the Kangaroo feels much more high-end despite similar price points. I would recommend this stroller to anyone who walks frequently, wants a luxury feel & wants a double stroller option.
Seating Options
The seating options are versatile and easy to adjust. I loved that the seat can be positioned both forward- and rear-facing, and the recline feature was a lifesaver for nap times. I found myself using the rear-facing position most often since it allowed me to keep an eye on my child. The harness system felt secure and comfortable, which gave me peace of mind. I wish the bundle came with the piece for both the lay-flat bassinet as well as the toddler seat. The way it comes, you have to choose to use the frame for one or the other. Additionally, there are no adapters to put the toddler seat at the lowest setting which makes it difficult to use with two children. The toddler should be at the lowest setting so they can get in and out independently.
Maneuverability
One of the standout features is how smoothly this stroller maneuvers. Even on uneven surfaces like gravel paths or grassy parks, it handled like a dream. The suspension system is excellent, ensuring a smooth ride for my child, while the adjustable handlebar made it comfortable for me to push—whether on a stroll through the neighborhood or navigating a busy store.
Comfort
Comfort was clearly a priority in the design of this stroller. My child seemed relaxed and content in the padded seat, and I appreciated the ergonomic handle that reduced strain on my hands during longer walks.
Underseat Storage
The underseat storage basket is deceptively roomy. It easily accommodated a diaper bag, a blanket, and a few grocery items. Accessing it was straightforward, even when the seat was fully reclined. This feature alone makes it incredibly practical for parents on the go.
Favorite Feature
My favorite feature has to be the one-handed fold mechanism. It made folding and storing the stroller so convenient, especially when juggling a toddler and other essentials. This level of functionality is a game-changer for busy parents.
Final Thoughts
The Bugaboo Kangaroo Stroller offers a perfect balance of style, comfort, and practicality. It exceeded my expectations in nearly every area. If you’re looking for a premium stroller that works seamlessly in various environments, I highly recommend giving this one a try!
I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
Since my baby is a newborn, we mostly use the bassinet, which is incredibly cozy and warm—perfect for chilly winter walks. I feel confident knowing my baby is safe and snug while we stroll around the neighborhood or park.
The advanced suspension system makes the stroller glide smoothly over bumps, cracks, and uneven surfaces—especially important since I’m still in my postpartum recovery. It's incredibly easy to maneuver, even with one hand, which has been a huge help when I’m juggling errands or keeping up with my newborn.
It’s clear the design prioritizes detail and convenience. The spacious under-seat storage holds our baby’s diaper bag, my purse, snacks, and even groceries. The bassinet clicks into place with a reassuring snap, and the included car seat adapters saved me from purchasing a separate set.
Assembly was mostly straightforward, with one step for the bassinet requiring a little extra attention. But once I got past that, everything else was smooth sailing.
Overall, the Bugaboo Kangaroo is a stylish, functional, and luxurious stroller that keeps my baby comfortable and safe. I’ve received compliments every time I take it out, and I couldn’t be happier. If you’re looking for a stroller that combines design and performance, the Bugaboo Kangaroo is a must-have!
A huge thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with a stroller I absolutely love!
