This play area is not meant to be used for sleeping or napping. It has a soft padding mattress where baby can lounge and be safe from the sun.
The sunshade provides partial sun coverage. However, the play area can be adjusted to face away from the sun, and when set in the right spot the shade can provide almost full coverage inside the play area.
