This camera was great, until it stopped working. We used this camera for 8 months without many issues, and then out of nowhere we started having the worst connectivity issues. Nothing changed with our internet, and customer service has not been able to resolve the issue. It will lose connectivity in the middle of the night, and multiple times I’ve woken up and it’s been over 3 hours that it’s been disconnected!! Which is terrifying for me to wake up to. As soon as I open the app on my phone it connects so quickly it’s like nothing happened, but it WILL NOT reconnect on its own. I’ve tried everything with customer service and after 3 weeks of trial and error (it working for a couple days then without warning disconnecting in the middle of the night again), I’m going to have to replace this with something more reliable. Which is really unfortunate because we have the full stand, travel stand, a crazy additional travel router because it doesn’t work on its own with hotel wifi, all the accessories, and planned to use it eventually for a second baby. Since it was purchased as a baby shower gift it’s been well over a year since purchase so the limited warranty is over. Just felt like I should write a long term review for people looking into it.
For now, I have a secondary cheaper monitor for back-up when the Nanit has connectivity issues, but if you’re paying $400 for one monitor, to throw in an extra $50-$100 for a back up is pretty crazy.

Does the app alert if the baby goes apneic? ?
No, the Nanit x Babylist Floor Stand Ultimate Bundle does not provide alerts for apnea.

The year long subscription for Nanit Memories is $100, and the year long subscription for Nanit Milestones is $300.
Do you have to pay for the insights membership plans to get breathing and movement alerts? ?
Breathing motion monitoring, which includes alerts for changes in breathing patterns, is only available with an active Nanit Insights plan.

Does it have to connect to WiFi?
Wi-Fi is needed for the initial setup, but once that’s done, the Nanit baby monitor will keep working without an internet connection! You just need to be on the same home network to get the live feed on your app.

How do I access nanit insights? ?
The Nanit insights subscription activates once you download the app, register and pair your Nanit Baby Monitor.
Does the breathing band need to be used?
You don't need to use the breathing band. The monitor works fine without it, but you'll miss out on a few app features.
Is it dual voltage?
It does accept an input voltage of 100-240V.
Can the breathing bad be worn under a swaddle?
You'll want to wear the breathing band over a swaddle to take advantage of the features. The camera needs to see the band to work clearly.

Extortionate pricing model and aggressive in app upsells
Charges a subscription fee for each device (instead of for the app) if you want to retain videos for 2 days. Aggressive in app upsells. Really an extortionate pricing model. Avoid.

Wildly overpriced
I was disappointed by the features ‘of my 6month free trial.’ I was even more disappointed when I lost even the basic features after the first 6 months, and can’t imagine paying $120 for the bare minimum. Wild to me that for an almost $400 baby monitor, I have to pay up to $120 a year just to see what the ‘motion detected’ in my child’s room was.

Useless stand that doesn’t fit under a crib
The stand does not fit under a crib. I’ve contacted nanet and they never responded. The stand is absolutely useless and there is no other way to use it.

Buy it!!!
The best investment ever!! I’m obsessed and so easy to set up. The image quality is amazing. We bought a second for travel and to use when she moves between rooms. Literally cannot recommend enough!!

Frequent Connection Issues
Camera has frequent connection issues. Nanit support claims the issue is my internet, however none of my other devices have issues staying connected. For something so expensive, it should be much more reliable. At least should have an alarm when live streaming disconnects.

Perfect nighttime assistant.
I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if it wasn't for the Nanit. The breathing monitoring helps put my mind at ease, allowing me to get much needed rest as a newborn mommy. I can't recommend it enough!
