A sheet is not required for use with this mattress. The breathable mattress cover can be removed and washed for easy clean up if needed. You can purchase additional covers if you desire to have a replacement on hand. A sheet can be used, but it is recommended to use a very thin cotton sheet to maintain the breathable quality.
