Overview

Description

Traveling with your little one is a great way to share new experiences, but most baby products aren’t easy to carry (especially through airports). Guava set out to change that. To keep your hands free, the Lotus Carry Bag converts into a comfortable, easier-to-carry backpack.

At 13 lbs, the Lotus is over 50% lighter than traditional portable cribs. For breathability, every side of the Lotus uses mesh from the top panel to below the mattress.

When it’s set-up, the Lotus features a handy side zipper door. You can unzip the lockable door to comfort your little one and help them fall asleep, or turn the travel crib into a crawl-friendly playard for toddlers.

The Lotus comes with an insulated, waterproof mattress made out of high-quality padding for comfort and protection. The mattress is floor-resting, which helps prevent squeaking and shaking, and makes the Lotus easier to carry and move. The aluminum frame and overbuilt hinges will stand up to years of use.

It’s also Greenguard Gold Certified.

Guava Lotus saved our travel life
After a disastrous Christmas trip trying to use a standard pack and play, we thought we would have to pause most travel until our baby was older. I really didn’t want to lose travel in our life so I spent a lot of time researching more comfortable travel crib set up’s. After comparing the top 3, I landed on the Lotus because of the EZ fold and light weight. On our next trip, our 10 months old slept through the night and took 2 hours naps in her Lotus! Her sleep is exactly like it is at home. This crib will be going with us EVERYWHERE.

So nice, I bought it twice!
After buying the Guava Lotus for travel, my daughter started sleeping so well in it that we now use it full time instead of a crib! We had our second child 6 months ago and now both my toddler and baby sleep in the Guava Lotus full time in their rooms! So much cozier than a crib with hard rails. They feel so snug and comforted by curling up against the mesh sides. It's also SO easy to take apart and put back together for travel.

Great so far!
This has been a great travel crib so far! It's very portable -- I appreciate the backpack straps for carrying it and the lighter weight compared to competitors.

well designed travel crib, with a couple of caveats if using long term
We purchased this crib in anticipation for an international move when our baby was 6 months old. He used it every day for the next 3. 5 months until our furniture shipment arrived in our destination country. During that time, we visited numerous family members and friends in several US states before making the move to our destination. It was hugely helpful to have a familiar place for him to sleep & nap. This crib is truly portable, lightweight and was accepted as a carry on by all of the airlines we used. The mattress seemed much more comfortable than a pack n play mattress.
Drawbacks: (1) For babies that are too old for a bassinet but too young to sit / stand in the crib on their own, it's annoying to constantly bend over or kneel on the floor to get them out. (2) The zipper is loud. I often opened it and lay down next to him to help him fall asleep but he'd wake up when I closed it. (3) The legs stick out, so it takes up significant floor space and doesn't fit through doorways without being folded. (4) It's not so easy to disassemble & reassemble due to the design of the sheet, which requires you to thread 6 things through to hold it flat. (5) PRICE. it's expensive as it is and the accessories cost even more. My baby didn't sleep well without a sheet, I imagine it's not comfortable that way, but the sheet is not included and is very pricey so we bought just 1. Very annoying when using this for months. Standard crib sheets do not fit. We bought the funshade too, it was helpful when napping in brightly lit spaces while on the go but again, it was expensive!

Overall we were very happy to have this, and it made our move easier, but for the price there are a couple of things that could have been done better. I don't love it as much as I love my Roam stroller.
